Bro's traditional wedding cakes

after ted we walked a long walk to Da Tong. sis and i had wedding cakes from here. these are Cantonese style. my uncles and aunt too got their wedding cakes from here. for sis and i, we had both Teochew wedding cakes and Cantonese wedding cakes. Bro's mil ask for cakes so he ordered from Pines and mix with these Cantonese wedding cakes that my mum wanted.

Lucky bro made his order that very day as they do not accept many orders as mooncake festival is coming and he was very heng as the date for making other cookies and cakes will stop on the day he collect his cakes!

we were lucky to catch the sifus making a dough from the very begninning. looking at the amount of liquid squashing about in the circumfence of flour was rather exciting . baby R was amazed and she kept her eyes n the skillful hands, carefully mixing the liquid and the flour together. with the baby around, we were not told to go away... they even stopped to smile at her a few times.

while mum settled the order, we managed to see the dough finally come together. we walked all the way back to the market area to find more wedding stuff. we even went to see gold for the bride. i couldnt take the weight of my little one so i hid in Ted and chatted with them till mum and bro came to get me. glad they didnt mind me changing baby r's diaper and feeding her milk in the shop!
