Swapped the music due to infringement rights!

tried to load the video i did to FB and i received this email -Tuesday, 27 April 2010 21:23:39 Notification of Alleged Copyright Violation on Facebook! went into youtube and it gave me the same answer after the video took 20mins to load up.... it was even able to tell me who owns the right to the song... but the better deal from youtube is that they have a list of songs that we can use. So i swap the music, picking randomly from their list to replace the ones i have painstakenly chosen and edited the video according to the song! Yes i know rights but i am helping to promote the song right! whatever as it took up so much of my time to upload the 6mins video! lucky the song i chose by looking at the title from easy listening catergory was ok. just wished that youtube can make it easier to listen to the song list that they have! it took forever for them to make the preview! i didnt even need the preview with the music, jus let me hear the song! so i just pick and did the swap... its still quite frustrating!!!

if the embedded one doesnt play... hope this link works!

my napping baby

in the evening, when baby r is not fully awake and still wants to nap... she wants me to cuddle her....

nowadays, baby r loves to roll all over the bed when she sleeps at nite in the wee hours. sometimes i find her at the end of the bed, sometimes her little feet kicked me awake! while i was reading my cookbook one afternoon, she sat up and somehow moved to the other side of the sofa and made herself em... super comfortable and she continued her afternoon nap!

bad weather

has been raining every late afternoon or evening. but this was one of the heavier pour which totally blurred the whole city view, makes me feel kinda of trapped..

peppercorn hammy bread

dinner for a few nites but this was good. feel somehow down to earth. why? dun know, could be the double cheese!

entertaining baby r

baby r is very active but she isnt just happy with the mat area.... she goes out off the mat whenever she can!

she is getting taller and she is almost hitting our dining table soon! took out some other toys from her treasure box. finger puppets, some smaller toys and i even took out the reading vcd that my aunt M got for her. she prefers to walk about instead of sitting on her movable toy. but she loves the dancing music it makes! HOW i wish she knows how to pack up after playing...

My 1st Kate Spade

my first bdae gift received super early! big thanks to sis for this nice card holder!

my new addition to my recipe books!

i love the illustration in the the Silver Spoon for Children! it was worth the wait! i waited for almost 3weeks for new stock! love the recipes in the book and i hope that rachel will grow up to like this book as much as me! Okashi was something that caught me eye and i know about this book but haven got a chance to see the content. i learnt from Keiko before and she is a very sweet & willing to share teacher! i love this book! it has so many of my favourite things esp mont blanc! the other book that caught my eye would be Nigella Express! flipped thru this book and i have to get it! it has all the recipe that i tried to write while watching Nigella Express on tv! i want to bake. i want to cook. simple pleasure, edible but impossible deal for now.

still a thinking baby when she sleeps!

Baby R with her thinker sleeping position!

Celebrating my FIL's 60th birthday!

after we got home from our outing, we rest less than 2hours+, everyone had to wake up naps, drop everything cos we needed to Get ready for the party! baby r was so stubborn, she didnt nap. slept alittle during the car ride home and she was awake but alittle grouchy! she was definitely in a better mood when we got her changed! she was wondering, frowning when she saw that mummy, daddy, ah gong & ah ma was already in pretty clothings! she didnt get to see gugu as sil was still in the room.

the dress baby r's wearing is from my aunt M. she bought this as a xmas gift and it fitted her perfectly for the occasion! baby r liked what she was wearing when we brought her to the mirror, she smiled! lucky her, got an angbao from ah gong, the bdae boy! My fil say must give baby r as she too turned 10mths old on the same day he is 60!

the dinner was at Shaw's Teochew Restaurant. we were served GongFu tea and this was light at first and the tea was heavier when shallowing, alit bitter! the presentation of the soutao bao was ok, the best presentation was at Noble house, my mum's chinese 59th bdae. someone's missing from the family photo? Baby R fell asleep during the car ride and she only woke up when the 3rd dish was served.

once she was awake, she didnt want to sit in the pram. she wanted to join us at the table and she wanted to eat! prep lots of her carrot crackers and rice crisp but she was not used to me giving her little bits and pieces. she was more used to holding onto the whole cracker and biting it down on her own. she was so demanding when she was done with the little pieces she had on her plate! we were lucky to have TV in the room thou she didnt watch it all the time, Madadasca took some of her attention away!

we were recommended by a friend to try the cold flower crab. Overprized and it was normal, not at all anywhere near fantastic. the crab wasnt that sweet and it cost $150. but the other cold dish, pork knuckle was nice. this cost only $6.80! MiL told us one teochew dish which is a must is goosemeat.... they dun serve that but we had teochew sliced soya duck which was ok.

No goosemeat, so gx ordered another recommended must have - braised gooseweb. Mil didnt touch the dish at all! it was quite nice as long as dun let imagination run wild! the scallop egg white dish was a disappointment! Prima revolving tower restaurant is way so much better! the baked lobster noodle has mixed reviews. we had it in butter sauce. i liked it but wished the noodles were the crunchy kind usually served with seafood! that would have been a plus point but it wasnt that bad. some find the sauce a odd combi with the noodles.

they gave us some fried water chestnut cake but this was cold... can't help thinking if these were leftovers from the dimsum session in the afternoon. the yam paste was way too thick and dry. not nice. non of us liked it and it was alittle too sweet! the service we had was very good thou. the lady who served us was very attentive! she got me a box of tissue when i was trying to find my wet wipes to clean baby r's messy hands! she had other moments that left us very good impression. fil gave her an angbao as tip.

baby r's patience was thin and we took turns to carry her and i even did a little dance number with my gal. she sat on both daddy and mummy' shoulder and played so hard that she got so warm that she didnt need her cardigan at all. this little cheeky gal brought smiles to everyone's face esp ah gong's! sil got goodwood park's durian cake. once the cake was brought into the room, the whole room smells of durian!

little one clapped her hands once we started singing the Happy Bdae song! she prob remember her past 2 experience from my sis bdae and she kept clapping as we sang both english and mandrin version of the song! it made it so fun to sing the bdae song, watching her little tiny hands at action! see daddy went from one place to the other corner to catch baby r's expressions! i was thankful to the manager who came in with the cake and she offered to help me take shots so that i can be part of the fun!

thou the family pic is alittle blur, still thankful to the helpful crew. this cake makes the day! its so nice and rich! the dinner was a present from us to fil and sil+bf gave fil a belt and of cos the yummy durian cake as present! it was a tiring day but it was nice to have dinner together on a Saturday, celebrating with a grandchild this year prob makes my fil a very happy 60 years old grandpa.
