18th September Morning Sun

18th September 2010, Saturday. beautiful weather! i woke up early as i needed to prep baby R's porridge early as we were planned a photoshoot for our 5th wedding anniversary! when i saw the rays in my room, it looked so orangy and when i took a look at the sun, it was so round!

when i was in the kitchen, the sun shone so brightly at me, i couldnt help running back to my room to grab the camera to take a few shots of the beautiful sun! its sure a good sign to see such warm sun rays in the morning as i prayed for a good day for our family shoot!

mischievous baby R and mummy surprise daddy

baby R was the only one who know where i kept the surprise gift.

baby R kept pointing to the gift after she saw me placing high up on the shelf and she kept saying "there, There...." so i told her that she would have to help me tell daddy where to find the present and she knodded her head!

baby R wrestled daddy and had so much fun till she forgot what she was suppose to do... she didnt point to the present and she wanted to play with daddy till i had to hint very loudly where daddy could find his 5th anniversary gift! then baby R suddenly pointed to the shelf and told daddy "there!"
**

baby R was excited when daddy took the present off the shelf!
she wanted to help so much with the wrapper!

somehow she always sticks out her tongue!

daddy was surprised that i had gotten him a gift.... i knew he would exclaimed "another belt" and he sure did! this is prob the 4th belt i got him! this time i got him a casual fred perry belt so he can wear on weekends and not having to need to get one of those black belt which makes him feel as he is going to work!

as papa is busy examining the belt, baby R is busy trying to put the box together again! when she tried so many times and she failed, she wanted to remove the ribbon on the box and she went on with her own fun while i sat there taking pics of my beloved little family members.

wonder when she grows up, will she be able to keep surprises a secret?

my comfort food

a bowl of hot soupy soury laska maggi noodles with 4 meatballs warms my heart and fill my tummy!

Mum's 60th chinese birthday

Happy 60th birthday to my mama!

thou baby R is so active, so pipi, Popo is prob happy to have a little one in her arms for her 60th bdae!
love to see my mum smile when she sees the little one, the feeling is always so warm....

my dear mum is already 60 and i haven done much for my mum.... instead she is always taking care of me.

baby R looks good in this little outfit! thanks to my aunt M who got this for baby R's xmas and it came in handy for my mum's bdae! with the matching sweater i hid her loose spagetti strapes well under and it keeps her warm in the cold private room.

baby R was happy to see everyone on a Wednesday nite, something she knows doesnt happens all the time! she simply loves being with people and loves parties! happy to see everyone turned up and she was game to take shots with everyone!

at some point of time, my gal never fails to be a little miss pipi! she has to take her signature pose... her little tongue stuck out when she took a shot with Aunty C! but with popo shots. she was a good gal, smiling and sat nicely on popo's lap. my mum was very tired from work but it was nice to catch her beautiful smiles at moments.

daddy was the last to arrive but he wasnt too late as the food wasnt served yet. this restaurant has the most Stylo baby chair! its really the first time i ever chanced upon a restaurant that gave us such nice baby chair, of all, clean looking, proper and nothing broken! Thumps up for Imperial Treasure Great World City! not even crystal jade has such nice chair to go with their decor!

it was time to present my mum her mystery gift that i gift-wrapped in a cooler wrap! my mum say i always have such funny things such as a cooler wrapper cloth! i first got it from Daiso to keep my baking products wrapped up so they dun melt on the way home... now i use it to keep cheese sticks and fruits cool for baby R!

**

mum was happy to see the Golden Peach from Japan!

baby R loves sniffing the peaches! she did that at home and she still wanted to smell more of the peaches at the restaurant! my bil prob can't believe the price tag! think no one in the room thinks its worth it... but i still think its worth it, giving my mum something so symbolic on her chinese bdae.

love this photo lots!

we had arranged steamed Tao buns to celebrate my mum's chinese bdae and it was a ridiculas price if we wanted a bigger Tao to cover up the smaller tao - $35! if we didnt want that it would be free.... and i wished they could have given the tao buns a better presentation!

to prevent baby R from wanting to keep going out of the room... fufu pretended that the door is spoilt and we were stuck in the room! i dun like to encourage baby R to get up and get going as the dinner is served. i want to train her to sit with everyone during dinner if possible. i know kids can't sit long and they have short attention span but at least i want her to try sitting down first before she starts to demand going out. i want to cultivate her to sit at dinner.

daddy gave popo an angbao as present. baby R gongxi gongxi popo and even cheers popo's teacup!

the only dish that baby R could eat was the Tao bun!

so we had 5 hot walnut paste dessert and 5 cold Mango Sago to share!)

the food is good and the service is not bad. i love the shark fins here!

half way thru the dinner, i told baby R that there is no cake today as we had eaten the soutao .... then she napped on my shoulders after i hum the sesame street theme.... then papa took her away from me so i can sit and enjoy the dishes. when popo was done with her dessert, she insisted carrying her sleeping grandchild so both daddy and i can sit and enjoy our food.

mum gave everyone of us an angbao on her bdae! shared the dessert with papa but i prefered the walnut paste then the mango sago... prob i find the mango sago too common... so i ate my hot dessert with baby R in one arm and she looked so tootoo with her face squeeshed to my chest!

i wish my mum better health, good shape, stay strong, best of luck and
i hope we can celebrate her 60th bdae in style next year with more grandchildren!
