Gx worked late and everyone was waiting for us to start dinner.... i was alittle pissed... hate to make people wait but had no choice as gx also didnt want it to happen... things just keep cropping up last minute at work for him! mum prepared the traditional steamboat that we have every year. my family steamboat is alittle different as we have ngoh hiang meatballs and we stew the whole pot of good stuff for a long period before we start eating.
little one sat with us in her high chair and i fed her grains of rice to let her have a feel of reunion dinner. sis signed up a nails package and was given a voucher to collect free yusheng from sakae sushi. the packaging was neat and the portion looks good as all of us thought it would be a smaller portion cos they are giving it out free... best deal was, we had extra salmon! sis didnt realise that the lady had given her an extra portion of salmon! the original packet had jus a few slices and the one that was wrongly placed in her bag had thicker slices!
this was baby r's first yusheng! she was just looking at everyone tossing the shredded veg and colourful pickles and looking at everyone expressions. she likes to observe things around her. the yusheng was not bad! it taste pretty good! the portion was just right for 8 of us. the only thing is if i ever buy from sakae sushi... i would definitely buy extra salmon sashimi to add into the yusheng!
