woke up and the day moved slowly as i was still feeling so tired from my flu. baby r seemed better than the day before. daddy had a special task and wanted the whole family to take part! he rolled a box of mandrin oranges into the house and we were in the house to pick them up!
baby r was esp excited to see all the oranges roll in! gugu and i picked most of them up and gave them to the little one! when we put the oranges into the box, she started to take them out! she could hold an orange each in her tiny hands! now whenever she feels happy, she will start to clap her hands! then its up to her when she do her gong xi, gong xi! and yes, playing with the oranges made her happy and she did her gong xi, gong xi to everyone's delight!
this year i bought the fruits for prayer and they were all tiny! i got a box of paradise pears and a box of honey miniture mandrin orange. little one managed to grab 2 when she passed by the alter when ah gong carried her. the grandparents allow her to do almost anything... i would have stopped her from taking the offerings! but the little one did make ah gong really happy when she did her gong xi, gong xi with the 2 oranges to ah gong!
its was a pity that i was not well and baby r woke up late... so we didnt join my bro and parents at my 8liang place. i decided to take things slowly and not rush myself. i couldnt... i felt so tired. Usually we would the first to leave the house on 1st day to visit my 8liang and greet my mum... but sil was the 1st to leave the house this year! we got ready pretty late as we had to feed baby r and get ready all her stuff needed on the road.
just before we left the house daddy and me gave baby r her 1st angbao from us! i gave her a kitty angbao and daddy gave her a cinnamon roll angbao! ah ma also gave baby r an angbao even thou ah gong gave her one the nite before! we werent the last to arrive at gx's uncle's place. We were very late and we managed to be the 2nd family to arrive! Same as years before! i really dread taking pics with my glasses! but no choice as its my girl's 1st CNY! i tried on 3pairs of glasses before leaving the house. whent the cousin gathered for a photo with their babies, i sent my mil to take my place.
caught up alittle with his gal cousins and we went to home to change baby r. she was so sweaty!!! took some shots for the grandparents before she changed her outfit. when she came out with her new outfit both grandparents loved her look! her CNY costume my aunt o bought was very cute on her! at first i really didnt want her to just wear the doduo out and daddy suggested a top then put on the dodou! CLEVER! she looked so cute and i love her ShanghaiT shoes... but they are really fitting and i guess we have to pass it on after her one time wear!
