baby R didnt nap much thru the day. she was very determine to see daddy and she was prob excited too that she didnt fall asleep in the car on the way to T3. when we arrive, looking at the screen.... i couldnt find the plane daddy was suppose to be on. i wondered if they merged flights as there was one flying in at the same time from Shanghai.... went to the arrival hall counter to check and the plane was touching down in 7mins at T2. daddy didnt give me info and he did mention should be the same as departure terminal!
so we hurried thru the lengthy T3 hall to get to the skytrain which was right the end. baby r's 1st skytrain ride and i would say the ride was rather bumpy somehow at curves. baby R loves bags and saw an opportunity to carry Ah Ma's bag! we walked like crazy to get to the gate daddy is suppose to be walking out... we saw lots of people waiting outside the gate and everyone is waiting. i took the chance to go get a cake i saw as i hurried past! yah i still managed to check out the cake counter as i speed past it! it was so cute that i decided to get that for daddy and baby R! when we finally spot daddy, he was so excited he wanted to come to the glass panel but i signal STOP to him as i saw his luggage and indicted to him to pick it up 1st! he was lucky to get his luggage among the crowd!
when he came out, we did our family hug! but baby R opened her sleepy eyes to look at daddy and didnt allow him to carry her, she pushed him away... i did warn gx about it and he was prep for such reactions due to way too long never see him in person... but little one did let him carry after awhile and she slept immediately! she was soooo tired that when we stood at the glass panel, she was nodding off but fought her sleepness and force herself to stay awake till she saw daddy....
baby R woke up 1st the next morning. she was very funny! she looked at me and made the sound "huu" and showed me the gesture, her hands both out asking "where".... i told her we were home from the airport and she slept and daddy is still sleeping.... she turned around and peeked at daddy. then she made an unexpected move.... she threw happy bear down to daddy! it hit daddy and he didnt move... so i helped by waking gx up and baby r was hiding behind the pillow, still peeking at daddy. she made her move down to daddy's mattress and sat there looking at him....after awhile i caught her smiling and happy! she talked to daddy and she showed daddy that she prayed for him.... they did the family cheer..... then daddy told her he got a surprise for her.
when daddy got up to go get the surprise for baby r, she found herself a good spot to wait for daddy. never before have i seen her sitting on the sides of the bed before! she sat there so steadily waiting patiently for daddy! when i asked her if she was happy daddy's home, she answered me with excitement she got off her seat to come nearer to talk to me!
daddy presented baby R - a pair of shoes
baby r held onto the sandals and looked at the sandals with love....
daddy told her that he got her a happy bear sandals! he told me that he wanted her to like the shoes straight away and he wanted to help encourage her to wear shoes cos she always kicks off her socks as she hates her feet being covered up.... that was so thoughtful of daddy. she sure did allow daddy to help her put it on! she felt the tiny bears on the sandals and i showed her the happy bear we got her for xmas, baby R smiled. we walked out of the room to let baby R try walking with her new shoes! also to show daddy HER WALK.... daddy missed the whole progress of baby r's 1st 3 steps to 6 steady steps to almost perfect 10 steps... i held onto baby r's hands and she perform for daddy the long walk from our room to the living room!
baby r stopped by the mirror toy and looked at herself, looked at the shoes in the mirror and she smiled! daddy is sure pleased and he prob felt emotional when he saw baby R walked. caught him looking at her playing with her mirror toy and he looked so fatherly. then he got up to catch our little gal to give her super daddy hugs!
while they had some time together, i went to get the cutesy cupcake i bought for them. daddy still didnt get to celebrate her chinese bdae too cos baby r fell asleep. but what is important is that daddy is home safe and sound to hold baby r while mummy took some pics for daddy and daughter! baby r loved the pinky cupcake! she kept reaching for it when i tried to take some shots!
when the grandparents woke up, she walked over to them, holding onto daddy's hand and sticking out her pipi tongue! she was excited to show them yet shy.... daddy had to go to work. baby r kept her shoes on for a very long time! she likes her new shoes! i am so happy daddy's home and baby'r happy too!
