Sweaty Monday 20th - the whole day was crazy! the weather is killing me! after lunch, rested and then went to the showflats again... no i am not crazy about getting a house! just gog with mil who is heading there alone. the weather is burning me! after the walk there i suggested we take a bus back to central to shop at ntuc. Mil loved that suggestion as when we got up the air-conditioned bus... ITS SO COOLING! once we got to the interchange, we parted as she decided to go to the temple. i head to check out plastic bags at the far end of the central and then i craved for something cold! decided to try soya ice-cream from mr bean. no regrets! its so good! not very sweet, the flavour ...soyabean taste? love the texture, firm and creamy not too soft! LOVE IT!

so hot that i can't nap at all and either can i carry out my packing task! managed to sort out baby's things according to feeding, bathing, clothing and still i dun know where am i gog to store baby's barang! so its still all at the corner in the living room! the weather was ridiculas! the more i try to cool down watching tv before i go shower... the hotter i feel! told my mil i am feeling so hot! not cooled at all! and i want to shower!

didnt want to go too far to celebrate thus tot of a few restuarants to eat at novena. we went into lao beijing for dinner. the food is ok, different flavour and i personally like dian xiao er better in comparison. gx didnt like the service. so it was prob the last time we are gog to be there! the bill was not cheap either! we took a set meal EXECUTIVE SET MENU 4A. didnt like the soup, 银丝干贝羹Silken Beancurd Bisque with Dried Scallops in Superior Broth, too watery and not much taste.
Beijing Style Shredded Pork with Chef’s Special Sauce, this dish was not bad. i wished they gave more wrappers! this is one of their chef recommendation. 小笼汤包Steamed Juicy Meat Buns had alot of soup but i find this alittle bland compared to the rest i have eaten elsewhere.
醋浇金目鲈Deep-fried Sea Bass with Homemade Vinaigrette was alittle different in taste... vinegar fish... alittle weird combi for me! but i love that the fish was very crispy! love the 百合鮮木耳炒芦笋Braised Asparagus with Black Fungus & Lily Bulbs. this dish was not bad as the fungus was very q and i love the nicely stir-fried sweet asparugus! 同乐酱鸭Tung Lok Famous Braised Duck京酱肉丝 was ok. we were very full even thou we didnt have any rice! i ordered an extra dessert... i always love beijing or shanghai red bean paste pancake. i fell in love with this dessert when i was teen. it was my first time trying it at a chinese restaurant at goodwood park. i remember it was uncle M's very first few treat. the one they served at LBJ was ok only... but i was glad gx allowed me to have it.
instead of 青柠果冻Chilled Lemongrass Jelly that was in the set, i change it to 杨枝甘露Chilled Mango & Pomelo with Sago. overall the place was simply decorated. i love the pic of the pandas esp the little one on top of the big panda! told gx i wana take a photo of him and baby in that position! would look so cute! the set was $108 ++For 4 persons, as there were 5 of us, we added one more pax $27, pancake $8 and with misc charges our bill came to $170++ then as we spent more than $150 we had a $30 tung lok voucher which we need to spend $60 to redeem it on our next visit to LBJ or some other TL group restuarant.
Lucky tuesday 21st - the sky looked so dark and gloomy this morning... a cool morning. but the sun rose and the hot weather was not as bad as the day before at least for the early afternoon! i sat on the bed, refusing to pack the room as i dun know where to start from! OMG... i have so many books around, bags, .... then i decided to eat. so i walked over to central to buy food. then after breakfast with mil, i start on something that i wanted to do instead. i prep for my project. i started tying little bows for at least 2-3hours? in bewteen, i napped on the sofa, then i woke up to eat my sausage mcmuffin that i bot for lunch. just as i was about to start eating, aunt o called. she told me to meet her downstairs at my block as she wants to pass me something.
met aunt k who is oso meeting with aunt o. wanted to go over to get a children activity mag for cousin Ly who is down with chickenpox, but aunt K kept insisting that aunt o is arriving... the wait got me feeling so hot that i want to go over to get the soyabean ice-cream. then after 15mins wait, aunt o came and she passed me a bag and said Happy bdae to me, she say i hope i like my bdae gift... WOW... once i saw the paperbag, i was taken away... i thanked her and after aunt k got her stuff from aunt o, we waited for nesa's bus. then i walked over with them to get my dose of coolness! no pics as i was busy chomping my yummy ice-cream! then aunt a invited me up to her house for lunch... she cooked fishsoup and i had alittle as my tummy was bursting with so much in it within an hour! then she gave me my present, she got me a jap blender/grinder. i am so blessed! as for what did i get in the burberry paperbag...
a classic bag tote! i always want to get a classic black bag as i dun have one fully black. this was a nice size as i do want a bigger black bag! wheres the checks? its in the inner layer of the bag. the side of the bag has drawstrings. i am very lucky. very lucky!

for the doctor's talk, gx came home earlier from work to fetch me to SCGS. the talk was at the school's auditorium. the 2 topics that was picked for this session was the process of labour and about relationship bewteen the couple after the new arrival in the family. after the first session, gx came back to his seat and told me he met TJ. what a coincidence as i was replying serena about our trio meetup next Sat. TJ is gog to give birth at mt.e but she heard about Mrs Wong BB and she attended her saturday classes. She is now at 31st week. She too is having a gal! after the talk we chatted for awhile. i have been having heartburn since last nite! ergh.... hope it goes away soon!
