Orange Jello Cheesecake!

Made this for the first time with dap! the blender aunt K gave me was great! it ground all the digestive biscuit so fine for the base of the cheesecake! love the machine! this cake is easy but takes up alot of time as it needs time to freeze each layer before layering the next.

as the recipe calls for 300gm biscuit, i didnt want to keep any leftovers, so we just grind all 400gms... and its too thick! i would it if the cheeselayer was thicker! more cheese would be nice! as for the fruit layer, i opened 2 cans of mandrin slices and we just layer the whole cake! then we didnt finished using the jello as we ran out of space!

after a couple of hours, we finally took the cake out at 8+pm and sliced it up and had our first taste of our orange jello cheesecake! i really wished we had more cheese and all i can actually taste was more of the base and jello! need to work out the recipe to my liking! but i still liked it, it was not too bad! i am happy to have made this with dap!

after another couple of hours of chilling the cheesecake in the fridge, i took it out at 11+pm. i used one of my new baking buy - the dual heartshaped cutter! i got these when i was with tab at biy. love that the heartshaped was not the normal symetrical ones. was pretty nervous if the cake would stand on its own! i left it on the plate for a while before pushing the 1st heart out!

was happy that the first heart i pushed out stood firmly on the plate! but alittle of the base was chipping off and i tugged it back to support the cake! i loved the shape of the cake! then i popped the other cake on the same plate and was glad it slide out beautifully! the next time round, i mit not make this orange version of jello cheesecake anymore... i will be trying out the strawberry version and i think it would love great when its cut out with the heartshaped cutter!

when gx reached home after his class, i surprised him with the heartshaped orange jello cheesecake! thou he is tired, he was nice to endure the heat and allowed me to take a photo of him and the cheesecake! when we shared this with my pil and sil, we are always amused when gx cut thru the layers of the cake! cos when he reach the base layer, he had to use more strength and with a loud tap on the plate before he could spoon the cake for each one of us!

it was cooling to eat this cake as the jello and cheesecake is cold! but i find the orange jello top very orangy taste and sort of covered the cheese layer flavour! will be trying the strawberry version soon! just hope baby can wait a few days more! cos i want to make the strawberry jello cheesecake with nesa when she finish her exam papers!
