sunday is a happy day.

i used to sing a song to gx on sunday but ever since our little one started to grow in me, we quit sing our sunday song. dun know how and when i started the song... Lazy, lazy sunday, Sunday is a lazy day, lazy day, lazy day... this song is sung whenever we gotta start laundry and other chores! to prep us for the baby, this song is no longer in use! we are looking forward to days where our little one will wake us up! after having our sunday morning chats, we got up for breakfast. then gx sat down to work - he has been gog through chinese characters in a chinese naming book and we came down to a few characters. to find more meaningful characters, he took out his dictionary. he is a very hardworking daddy! he is very determined to find the right characters for his little gal!
then we went to baby avenue along Balestir road, we went to check out the shop that sells all baby things. we were here mainly to check out the prams. its not our first time looking at prams but this time, for the first time, we are pulling them out for a trial. you be amazed if u never look at the price tags before! it can start from $200+ to $1000+++ seriuosly the most expensive we saw almost $1300?! then we walked around the shop to look at the other items. gx was so excited when he saw a little pair of girly silver tiny booties. the little shoes for our little one. he was smiling saying thats the shoes are pretty right... i love the grin as it lights up his face! but we didnt get it yet as we first got to sort out the clothes and baby items given to us by the twins. we saw so many pretty things we wanted to get!
we went back to mums to join everyone for lunch. the whole family went to mandai to pray respect to my grandparents. i was advised not to go. ate lunch and then played boggle with sis and nesa and later aunt k joined in the fun. mum started to make her fruit cake. gx and the boys went to uncle m's house for a chat. then gx came back to get me and we left for centrepoint. while he enjoys his spa, i went searching for something to wear for cny 7th day, ren ri's dinner. we are having a themed dinner and i was glad i found myself something pretty to wear! it was great that robinson was having 30% discount. after his spa we went to get fil some tops for cny. we head for our dinner appointment at mohd sultan road.
long overdued meetup with et, ser and gam! we ate at achang restaurant. once i got to the restaurant i ordered the focaccia bread with Balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dipping to share! i was so hungry! the gals were very excited for me! they were very happy that i am expecting! we chatted about my experiences. the pilaf rice here is very nice! et and i had tandorri chicken while gx had the grilled squid and ser and gam ate a huge plate of lamb rack! we were the only ones in the restaurant, a quiet sunday nite dinner.
after dinner we head over to the pier, robertson quay for dessert. ser wanted caneles but they close at 8pm! then we head over to bakerinn but they were closed too. then ET suggested to check out the back of robertson quay. the place was filled with people. Laurent’s CafĂ© & Chocolate Bar had their last order so we head further down to Brussels Sprouts. this place serves belgian food. they are famous for their mussels and we were told the mussels were sold out for the day. just read from the web that they have a selection of up to 55 different kinds of Belgian beers, mussels served in 14 home-cooked styles.
i love this warm pound cake! simple = nice
i love the dessert i ordered. white chocolate macadamia cake. the cake was served warm and i love that warmness! felt good and taste good! love the nuts! think i am into pound cakes! et had banana crepe with ice-cream while ser had belgium waffle and gam had home-made Belgian chocolate mousse.
gx ordered a beer instead. this belgium beer cost $24!
the beer gx was recommended looks dark but was according to gx and et who took a sip, its not bitter! it not very sweet either but nice, very creamy! its got a weird name - delirum and the bottle and the glass is really very colourful! read from the web that Beer-lovers may be interested to note that all the beers are served in their respective glasses of different shapes and sizes, reason being each glass is customized to bring forth the best in its flavour. dun mind coming back here next time for dinner! was good to meet up with my friends and having a sunday dinner. but sadly, i ended up sick in the nite. i had diarrhea and it was bad. i was in the toilet for 15mins! glad that i didnt wake up in the middle of the nite but when i got up to prep for work, i had another round and lasted 15mins again! but still i went to work...
