the last week of August

the whole week, little Rach has been pipi! very temperamental!!! kept using cry to get her way! her cry is super loud and she is like screaming her lungs out! she starts getting fascinated with her tiny fists! licking it like its ice-cream or taking a bite like its drumstick! daddy & mummy are like police catching her in action & stopping her before she gets her hands wet! on tuesday 25th, mil & i brought her to the paed as she got rashes @ p area... got all m,y questions asked & i was very glad that she is growing well! she is now 5.5kg! the med given was good she recover within 2 days.

didnt go back to mums on fri, so mum & sis came by with dinner and sis got yummy raisins bun with creamy delicious cheese filling! she got so many... she bot 25 in total for office, for my in-laws, me and for mum! its from a market from chinatown and i forgot the name!!! terrible memory!! near chinatown point i think....

Rachel loves gog out. Was encouraging her to be a good gal so we kept telling her about the Saturday event. She got better at drinking all her milk. She has been taking half and keeping the other half for later or not evening drinking it... doctor said its her drinking habit and theres nothing wrong with her... to me, she is so playful that she wants attention so she breaks her milk time into 2, avoiding to nap after her milk too soon! We got her to wear her new socks we bot last week! she was so excited to go out that she missed her naptime. she is very afraid she will be left behind! When daddy finally came home, she wanted him to carry her! once we got into the lift, she immediately fell asleep!

She slept soundly all the way till Suntec! She woke up imediately once we parked the car. We were here to attend a session with Mrs Wong, joining her to do a demostration. We were invited to join her after the massage session we had on Rachel's full month. I tot it was some kind of massage demostration but in the end it turns out that i need to do massage and yoga with her! We were led into a room where we can sit and wait. i was given a light green polo so that the organiser can identify the participants. there were about 10 babies and toddlers in the room. it was still peaceful when we started taking family shots... but when the full force of 20 kiddos gather in the room... it was chaotic! it was a surround sound system of cries and screams!

it was funny when we took shot of rachel! she was all wrapped up as it was pretty cold. She hates having her hands wrapped up! so slowly she breaks free always starting with one hand, mostly the right hand 1st... instead of rescuing her other hand, she decided to take a bite 1st! when we catch her... she break into a struggle and release the hulk in her! we took her for a walk to calm her down and she soon fell asleep! while the noise level kept increasing, she was in her lala land as usual like its so peaceful... i was driven crazy with the noise level!

the yoga with baby was fun and scary! some moves need to raise baby up when she lie on my thigh... she was so sleepy when we started but soon broke into smiles when i rolled her down my legs! she loves the action! after the session of demostration, we were given the yoga mat that we used, a goodie bag from Anmum - 1 tin of maternal milk powder, a box of lactation milk and bathing samples, mags... when we head out after having a photograph with Mrs Wong, the nurses from the Mt A counter handed us a goody bag and there was a medela milk bottle in there among the other free samples and their hospital brochures!

Rachel fell asleep when we arrive at my favourite Viet restaurant at suntec, not crowded just 3 tables including us. we had room to park her pram and she was sound asleep after the workout. but once the food arrived... she was awaken by the smell of the food! she often does that to me at home! when i am about to sink my teeth into my food, she always wakes up and i have little chance of havng 2 hands at meal time and having the food hot on weekdays if i am alone at home! i would be lucky if mil or gx is at home when i am eating as they would help to look after her while i quickly gobble up! on weekends, my mum would usually let me have my meals first while she cares for Rachel! She prob felt good after the workout! she kept smiling at daddy when she woke up! started chatting with gx for quite awhile. So i eat 1st while the pair had their time chatting. then i took Rach for a walk, went into a Hello Kitty Shop and saw beautiful items but they dun have short umbrellas. We went for a walk about the children's level and got her a mini fan for her pram and a learning cd!
Sunday was a rainy day. After her morning walk with her grandmother and aunt, Rachel slept alot. Daddy woke up very late so there was no morning walk together... we pumped up the rubber ducky for her bath but didnt get to bathe her till afternoon when the rain stopped for awhile. we were all warmed up by mum's afternoon dessert bubor chacha. clever mum asked me if i had colouring since she knew i was going to bake cupcakes with the kiddos later in the afternoon. so my wilton colour gel had an grand opening by mum! we used the green and purple to make some nice chewy chewy which is made from tapioca flour... dun know whats that called but its so fresh and chewy that sis and i kept praising mum!
made 2 large batches of cupcakes. i used the yogurt recipe from my cupcake decoration class. mum sat at the table to help monitor the 2 young ones and to learn what cupcakes are all about. she is very curious how yogurt is used in this recipe! i got the 2 gals to sift the flour while i measured the rest of the ingredients. got them to add the ingredients into the mixer bowl. when we were done with filling all the cupcakes cases, we did a simple creamcheese frosting. it was suppose to be fondant decor but i forgot to bring the whole box of mashmellow fondant and lucky i had cheese in mum's fridge and lucky i had piping bags and tips for the kids to use!

showed the kidos how to pipe and i let them handle the bag and i guide them along with the piping! they were good at listening to me as nesa made clear to the 2 kids who bake with me for the 1st time that i am very fierce and i dun like mess! didnt have any other sprinkles except my pearls! am so glad that i had enough materials for decorating the cupcakes! thanks to sis who helped me looked after my napping baby! rachel slept so much on the rainy sunday! it was fun but tiring! jus glad i didnt have to wash up! think i will do more baking at mums! its more fun with so many people around!
