mum's wish comes true!

Sept 26th Saturday. An important day in my mum's life! Her wish came true ... a family portrait, her dearest son, my brother wears a graduation robe... my brother has graduated and my mum is very happy! bro planned the studio photography session while sis and i were in-charged of the dinner after the shoot, celebrating my mum's chinese bdae!
Sis and i also arrange to go get our hair done at the salon. after a short discussion with the hairstylist, i did a bold move... i got my hair chopped short again! Yes... right before the shoot, i cut my hair! i find that my last cut was alittle long... yes long... my hair grow very fast and its long for me. i am the only one without the sq hat... so i need to have a very neat hair... the cut was average... this is the shortest hair i have for family portraits so far!

Glad bro found this place with his future wife's help! Gloria photo studio? the place is not huge but the service is good. they are very reasonable as they allow us to take shots with their robe. so while waiting for the lady to find everyone their robes and helping each of us dress up, we started taking pictures! my gown again of cos was the most colourful of them all! when i told the lady my gown is very colourful... straight away she told me that the most difficult gown to sew and the prettiest of them all cos got many colours! just before the shoot started, mum asked that Rachel change her outfit! lucky i brought another outfit along! mum say the boatneck didnt look good on Rachel and its too big on her... when i got her changed to the purple little dress, she did look smarter than the my fair lady dress she had on.

the family shot was taken after the photoshoot, not within the setting where we had the shoot but it was good enough to keep mum happy as she can't wait to see the photos taken after we left the place. hopefully, the photographer who has good patience managed to get a nice shot of Rachel and everyone else looked at the camera and not at her! i even brought her rubber ducky lantern to get her attention! for the 1st few shots, think she was shock or she like the flash... when she warmed up to the photographer... she laughed! for one shot, she even stretched our her hands! hope we get a nice family portrait!

as we were too early, we head to tcc at boat quay for coffee. i ordered some snacks to share. shrooms bite, wedges with cheesy dip and chicken bits. i tried the new hazelnut milkshake and i like it! just as i stood up carrying my gal, i love the white brick wall and got daddy to take some shots for us! daddy is getting good at taking photos with space!

after much discussion, we left and took a short walk at the river. the pic i took of dad and rach seems so much like a photo taken in the 80s feel! dad is really strong for his age! he really got stamina! he is 3x 'GX's age as they share the same chinese horoscope! no complains of carrying my 6+kg baby, walking and walking really fast and i gota stop dad from speed-walking a few times! it was dam hot and we walked to fullerton, hoping to be able to hear some hot engine speeding past... but too bad the trial runs by the racing cars seemed to have stopped!

so we turned back and we strolled all the way back to where the studio was as our cars were parked there! we made a turn at the fullerton hoping to hear some engine but nothing was happening ... head to Nobel House where we booked the dinner to celebrate mum's chinese bdae. As we arrive early, we sat outside and again, mum told us to change little gal as she has wet the top of the dress with lots of saliva! from hairsalon to photo studio and changing before the shoot to restaurant.. my little one changed 4 times!
we were given a karaoke room. gx and i sang one song and the rest of the nite we were just watching mtv and listening to the music. was glad i ordered the soutao! they presented in a very nice manner! a huge soutou and 8 small ones on a big platter and there was a poem written to wish my mum many good things.

mum was really happy! the meal was just suppose to be dinner after the shoot but glad the soutao turned out pretty impressive! this dinner will make up for dad's and mum's bdae which was spent at home as little Rach was too little to be out then! The food was really nice!

Sis decided to order the peking duck set and it was a good choice! i like the prawn dish best! mum said she will try to cook up this dish at home! my gal sure knows what is good! she kept her eyes on dad's hands! then she took a good look at all the other dishes on the table!

we were given a box of mooncake free. it was mango with mungbean snowskin mooncake. then we were given 2 $50 vouchers for every $200 spent as dear signed with his UOB credit card! pretty good deal! got home and we watched the qualifying round for F1 and we ate the mooncake given and cut up the mocha bailey snowskin mooncake gx got for mum. the bailey mcake was not bad!
