Sept 29th Tuesday - our little one nodded her head when daddy ask if she wanted a story! her movement was little but we both saw her trying her best to answer us! and if we tot we were wrong... so they shared the same pillow and had some time together! (is mummy resting then??? NO!!! i will be either washing up her bottle, fixing her sterilised bottles or preparing nite feed items, topping up nappies in changing bags! the list goes on!)

Oct 1st Thursday. i was feeling frustrated as my body is aching mad! i did the whole nite of duty on my own and had to pacify my baby to wait for milk as my hubby was deep asleep with his flu medication! i was also worried as baby's stool was getting softer and alittle watery! gx went to work as he needed to cover for my bro as bro had 2 days mc... even when he's not well. so i can't get much help as gx has to rest when he get home as he still feel tired and his nose still runny... but it was nice of gx to calm me down by getting the oto machine ready for me...

Oct 2nd Friday. when baby had very wet pooed in the morning... mil and i decided to bring her to the docs... glad we did as she is down with mild stomach flu... so we didnt go back to mums as we had to monitor her bowels and if she is not getting better with the med, we had to send her stools for lab test... baby is growing well thou... 6.55kg! again i was worried so i watch her closely esp in the nite!
Oct 3rd Saturday. baby seems better with the help of med. i tot we could leave early afternoon but i was frustrated when gx was stuck with his Romance of 3 kingdom dvds! i wanted to go to mums soon as i know they are waiting! very fed up thou i know its his off day and he wanted some time to do his stuff! ren until my patience ran out ... not having enough rest made me a hulk easily! he gave in too when he realise the time! i kept the jap cookies from irene for the mooncake festival. i remember to bring it over and opened it up for tea... late tea!!! thanks irene for the lovely cookies! they were very nice and gx loves it! cos we still had to go pick up a box of mooncake for his friends! i picked 2 for ourselves to celebrate our 4th lunar wedding anniversary! got the mooncakes from pines garden. we got the durian and lychee martini snowskin but i was alittle disappointed as it wasnt that fantastic, it was alright. mayb i set my expectation too high! the skin was too sticky and maybe cos its been in the fridge for too long!
gx got bak qua and pomelo for my mum as he already sent in the mooncakes the week before! on the table there was 4 different brands of mooncakes... sis office, my bil, my future sil and gx' s contribution! when nite falls, i started decorating the garden with Lety's help! instead of candles, we put in light stick to illuminate the lanterns! then we got ready at about 9pm to do the Moon Walk! we armed ourselves with lanterns and took a short walk down the street from mum's place! then after the walk, i settled down to have some mooncakes, tea and pomelo. i always skip the little yam. somehow... the 2 gals started asking riddles... and that was our guess the lantern riddle session! they cracked jokes and made everyone laughed! then we adults shared some jokes too! it made my mum happy! little Rach was tired but she hang on and played as she loves parties!
Oct 4th Sunday. i was suppose to leave early in the morning for class. but my little gal pooed and i gota clean her up before leaving... gx offered to fetch me to the school! he was sweet to offer! but sadly we had to send my mum to doctors first as her arm hurts. i was worried about mum's condition. but she got a jab and was asked to rest... gx drove me down and i was glad we brought rach along for the car ride. a big thank you to Yiyi who followed along so that she can carry rach for the trip home!
dap was already waiting for me when we got there! baby as already asleep in my sis' arms. i am thankful for a supportive family who help me and allowing me to have some ME time. it was a special meetup with dap as we kept the class just to ourselves. we were early and we sat and chat before the class started! it was a fun session! we made rich dark Valrhona chocolate cupcakes and i learnt a different way to prep buttercream and chocolate ganache for decorating ... but we were there to learn how to pipe... sesame street characters! above are our creations!
after the class, dap and i got lunch at colbar. while she had porkchops, i had my maryland chicken! the place as usual is filled with people on Sundays. it was a great catchup as we did something fun together! when i got home, i took out the long ago small collection of mine... little beanie sesame street characters! i did a photo shoot of the cupcakes i made with the cute little SS characters! too bad i didnt have Oscar! i love the Grouchy Oscar cos i think thats the best pipped monster i made!
i grew up watching sesame street and i am very happy to have learnt how to create them on cupcakes! Maybe i may even make them on bigger cakes next time! Can't wait to plan my gal's bdae parties! Gx on the other hand say he is not a sesame street kid! he always prefered Electric Company when he was a kido! i do remember watching the programme... but i dun remember the characters or any part of the show!
while i was away baking at the other side of the island... my little one slept thru after another feed of milk when she got back at mums... she slept all the way even when i was home already.... then i even had time to shoot my favourite 4 better looking monster cuppies and half all the monsters, served them for tea and had a quick bite before she finally woke up after almost 4hours of nap!
