10/10 - Rachel is 4 months old!

October 10th Saturday. Rachel turns 4mths old! glad i was discharged the day before and no ops! if not i would not be with her! got her a present and i opened the gift with her in the morning! I love this story by eric carle and when i was in the hospital i kept thinking of getting her this book that came with the toy caterpillar! this was one of the gift i tot of getting for helen's little boy. i wanted to give my little gal as a gift as she was such a good gal when i was away. she didnt cry and drank her milk properly (cos her hands are now always on the bottle and sometimes she uses all her bull strength to push the bottle and the bottle ever flew far away!), slept well and listened to her grandparents. i was glad i found the book with the toy and it was a last piece!

read her the story and she was looking at both the toy and the beautiful colourful pictures eric carle drew. then sil came by our room and gave our gal a BIG H&M bag!!! it was filled with beautiful things! there was a hot leopard print tights and cool leopard ears clips! then there was a sweet collection of floral socks and cute pull-over hats! Rach loves pokkadots and she was attracted to the purple dress Gugu got for her! Lucky Rach not only got a storybook and a toy from mummy but nice H&M stuff from Gugu! my little one is pretty vain! she smiled at the nice things Gugu got for her!

Gugu pulled out a disney bag and in it was nice halloween present! a hat with mickey ears! my little gal likes it! she keot wanting to touch it and she can even hold it with her own hands! so how about daddy? after work, daddy went to collect the present i ordered! when he came home, little Rach was asleep... so when she woke up we showed her the surprise!

she was very blur at first when we entered the room where the presents were floating! she like it when she saw her pooh bear balloon, a little puzzled why pooh bear is floating thou... but when she saw the HUGE .... Gigantic elmo... she dropped jaw! haha take a close look at the photo she took with elmo! she looked freaked out! the elmo is a present for Cavan!

we head to pasir ris downtown east chalet to attend the bdae boy's party. when we got there, we took pics with elmo before presenting it to the bdae boy. alot of people looked at us! so many pointed at us from far and we heard so many call out elmo! wah look, so big! wah elmo balloon! esp those with little kids... everyone got excited as we walked thru the busy bbq walkway! everyone stopped to look at us...

we gave our present to the bdae boy and hee excitedly hit the elmo! think kids all get excited when they see balloons esp huge ones! i couldnt decide whether to get elmo or mickey for the boy and asked the mum which to get.. helen told me she got him an elmo cake! as we sang the bdae song, elmo stood with the happy family! rachel was falling asleep just before cake cutting and when she heard the bdae song, she woke up to join in!

the weather was good for an outdoor party but with baby around... we were pretty busy trying to make her comfortable in the hot environment! our tinklebell mobile fan ran out of batt! alot of kidos at the party were fascinated with the fan! then out came my paper fan given by my korean student! daddy became the mobile fan! i was prob looking very tao as i got myself a corner to settle baby's milk, trying to make her comfortable and most of all, getting her to rest. its really not easy to bring a baby out!!! had alot of mixed feelings as i sat there to people watch. am i glad gx was out of the army? well, i know he miss his buddy time but still i am glad he's out somehow. i hope to remain buddies with this family as its not easy to find close friends anymore!
