"blinkblink" and its 1st February!

Sat 31st Jan - 6th day of cny. Last day of Jan 2009. time flies and really fast! the Ox has started running! with nothing on my agenda in the morning, i started blogging on my own little baby ox. starting to be able to feel her movement. i would still say she's pretty gentle. she move alittle and no big movements so far. then sis called to find out which horoscope animal fan Taisuiye. thou i went to the temple on thursday with gx and family to pray at shuanglin shi, i still wanted to go pray at simalu. so i tagged along and nice uncle k came to pick me up. then uncle k bot these lotus to my mum's place and i loved it. the pic of me with the lotus shows my big round nose! then waited for gx to pick me up in the evening to join his cousin XM who is back from HK fr cny and his cousin K for dinner. She had craving for kueychap so we brought her to tpy lor8. then we proceed to coffeebean at the hdb hub to continue chatting. slept early as we have a long day on the 7th day of cny!

Sunday 1st of Feb! woke up early and prepared camera stand, our big cam, our change for the nite's dinner. then we set off to mum's place. super hungry when i got there and attacked a bowl of my favourite porridge once it was served! my mum is superb. she prepared the fabulous scallop, oyster porridge, fried yeefu noodles, fried chicken in spices and her new invention - goreng nian gao with sweet potato. she use goreng pisang flour instead of the normal batter.

after lunch, we rest and waited for the lion troop to arrive. so i took details while waiting. got the kids to guess what colour the lion mit be. it so happen to be the same colour as our small lion head. that angbao is for the lion troop. sis managed to find a cute mickey mouse angbao where mm is also doing the lion dance.

my bro set the lucky veg for the lion at the car pouch... looks very high to me. was pretty worried if the lions would be able to reach it! but they managed to reach it but too bad they came down so fast that gx didnt managed to catch the shot. lucky i took video of the whole performance! we were lucky that they used their 2 new red lions! looks very auspicious! the whole performance lasted 1hour including our phototaking session.

gx loves lion dance since young. maybe its due to my fil influence. my fil knows how to drum the beats and think he knows how to do the lion dance too. glad that bro suggested the lions and glad that sis and gx chipped in! next year cny, our little one would be around to enjoy the cny celebrations! one more new member in the family photo.

next year, gx or me would be carrying our baby to take pics with the lions! oso our little one would be taking pics with the little uncle and little aunties! all the adults in the family would have the rank raised to the next level when our little one arrives!

our own little lion dancers! during the lion dance, the little ones were afraid of the lion and found the druming too loud. but as we were watching the video i took, Ni suddenly got up and went to get the little lionhead and Na and nesa joined in the fun. they were moving to the drum beats in from video.

uncle m and aunt o gave each family 2 oranges to wish everybody happy bdae as its cny 7th day, its everyone's bdae. the little bag with lots of fu character on it makes it look really pretty as a gift. while everyone went home to prep for the nite's dinner, gx and i stayed on to play boggle!
