Sentosa Resort & Spa

27th March 2010. a beautiful Saturday! daddy drove us to harbourfront and we walked thru the mall trying to decide how to spend the $100 we have in hand! my final decision was to split the voucher and we each have $50 to choose something for ourselves in Esprit! i topped up to get myself 2 tops and gx got new berms. we ate late lunch, got some taiwanese chicken chop and kfc egg tarts before heading in to Sentosa! drove past the newly opened Universal Studio and arrived at Sentosa Resort & Spa!

we drove our car into a very, very small lane..... this was a 2 way lane and our car took up the whole lane! drove past some villas and got to ours! our garden villa was on higher ground and nearer to the main resort rooms and facilities. the villa was nice! it was huge to me but gx expected it to be even bigger for the price!well, i got everyone not to mess up any rooms so that i can take some neat photos of the place! the inbelievable thing was even thou most of us just had lunch, everyone started eating the afternoon snacks!

thanks to my bil who pulled up most of the blinds, brightening up the villa. he also discovered the blinds that covered up the huge panels thats oversees the swimming pool had a switch that opens and close the blinds automatically!

the dining area was filled with goodies at the counter bar! neoespresso machine for the coffee lovers and TWG assorted teabags for tea lovers! 8 different types of teabags but i only tried one flavour - Red tea vanilla and it was good! this was the first time i tried TWG's tea and it was nice! love the cloth bag that holds the tea leaves!

there were 2 corridors leading into the rooms. the west wing had 2 single bed joined as one. the bath room is smaller than the east wing. thou i said that its smaller.... it not that small either. i should say that the east wing bathroom is HUGE! the toiletries provided are carried by the spa.

 *west wing*

East Wing room has a king sized bed and the bathroom as i mentioned... is HUGE. I mean it. its sooooooo BIG. its the largest bathroom i have seen in resorts and hotels. even bigger than Ritz. the main attraction in this toilet is that it stands alone at the end of the bath room and its a jacuzzi tub!

when you enter this bathroom, there a cupboard for storing clothes on both side. both side had benches with towels for swimming and after shower. there is 2 vanity counter, there is a standing shower area and the other door hides the toilet bowl! a bench near the jacuzzi tub for leaving dry clothings... (after swimming, sis used the west wing bathroom and our family head to the east wing bathroom and gave baby r a warm swimming session, bathe her and daddy even on the jacuzzi for her! she loved to see the bubbles bubbling and more of it covering the bathtub! while i dressed baby r, daddy took a quick shower and baby r was all his, while i got to soak in the tub, relaxing for awhile. thou it was a short session but its definitely a treat!) sis told us that when they were ushered into the villa, they were told that this villa is monkeys favourite and there is a peacock that lives in the villa! yes the peacock makes this villa his home. not long after mentioning, while we were chomping on our after treat, the peacock made his 1st appearance!

it was good that bil had all the blinds and curtains opened if not we wouldnt know the peacock came to the frontyard to check us out! it got baby r excited. she frowned at first looking at the colourful bird. she was amused by it. but for the rest of us, we were amused by our dear cousin Wall! he couldnt stay indoors with us and he went out to say hello to the peacock! we all stood indoors looking at him communicating with the poor bird that kept his distance and they both kept circling around the plants!

daddy got tired carrying baby r who was still looking from indoors at the peacock, that he sat her on top of the tv rack. then together with sis and bil, we walked into the bathrooms to take some shots.... YES the bath room are the main attraction of this villa! baby r loved it when we played peek-a-boo with the couple, wanted to get some reaction shots of her when we swing open the bathroom doors!

and of cos we went into the bath tub to take some family shots! silly? whatever cos we had fun doing so and we tot it looked rather cute to have such a famly shot! baby r was alittle taken back as she was prob amazed to find her parents in a tub with her! her looks on the photos seemed to tell that she was still trying to figure out whats happening!

then we went to the next attraction of the villa to get some shots. the swimming pool. this is the part where gx tot it should be much, much bigger - the pool! for me, i thought its a good size. but the thing that we agreed on was that the pool isnt that clean! baby r was able to recognised that its a pool and she got all excited, wanting to get into the waters!

it was pretty difficult to hold on to her when she gets excited and struggles to get to where she wants to be! so daddy swung her around to distract her! love that cheeky smile she gave daddy when she took the photo with sis and me! grin till she shut her eyes and her laughter is pretty infectiuos! self-shot of myself along one of the wings. the panel along the wings, one side is filled with plants and the other looks out to the pool.

if i ever have plants in my future house, it has to be orchids. i love orchids alot! would love the kind of blinds but its not really practical as the wood usually fades its colour. after being trapped indoors watching tv for awhile, we went to check out the front of the villa.

we were lucky to spot 2 other peacocks. 2 female, one prob the mother and the smaller one the daughter. i managed to take a shot of the peacock take off! while the younger couples went to check out the main resort area, i hid in the air-conditioned villa, facing the boring tv programes. to kind of stop the 2 older boys from watching the violent Rocky dvd, and to let baby r swim before sunset and her naptime, i managed to get daddy to change and jump into the waters! we spotted the 2 female peacocks at the pool area and they drank from the pool... but it didnt stop us from using the pool. the peacocks sat the side near the plants to rest while we played in the pool!

baby r loves swimming and eagerly wants to get into the water, dragging her daddy to the pool's direction! she uses her body and with all her might, she is able to show you where she wants to head to. she sometimes uses her hand to point to the direction she wants to go! she was alittle frustrated with us taking shots as daddy would hold her higher and all she wanted to do was to splash the waters! look at the ripples she created!

the boys came back and joined us in the pool but not long, it was time to get baby r out of the pool! she of cos didnt want to leave the pool at all! we showered and cleaned her up and she was sleepy and my sis managed to get her rest. the boys were in the water chatting away and i went out to catch a shot of them. Cousin Wall, pointed to the sky and told me WHITE PEACOCK.... i replied Bull****!

only when Cousin A looked up and said REALLY.... then i turned to look... Cousin Wall  is the joker among us and its difficult not to doubt what he says! there was really a WHITE PEACOCK on the roof! the rest came out to see it and it was difficult to catch a nice shot of it! esp i was taking it facing the sunlight, over-exposing the pic, it looked rather like a chicken in one shot!

my poor gal was awoken by the loud cries made by the male peacock! it was calling out to the calls that we heard from a distance. it was so loud that it made us all jumped but the sleeping baby r got scared and she jumped from the nap and cried loudly! after cuddling her and i told her i will scold the peacock for making the loud noise, she stopped as she heard prob the word peacock! it called again loudly and we all head out to see the peacock opening up his feathers. but it turned away and gx didnt managed a front shot. pretty sad to see that peacock has lost quite abit of his feathers.

since baby r was awake, together with sis, we head out to check the facilities in the resort and the other 2 rooms that we had. its deluxe rooms but its rather small, maybe becos we compared to the garden villa. deluxe room has the writing desk area. but sadly, no coffee maker, i can understand. but no similiar teabags? its rather ex to then stay in this room compared to the villa. the difference bewteen the 2 rooms is the bathroom. one has a better bathroom layout.

the villa and 2 hotel rooms stay is the prize to the boys from aunt o and uncle m. its for putting up the *Jackson 5 + Wonder boys gig* at the halloween party. gfs and spouses are invited for the stay. thanks to the boys, i got a chance to get away even if it was a short stay. we were suppose to stay but gx tot it was better to go home for baby's sake. yes, a little waste not being able to have a niteout but still it was good that we could join in the day fun.

the resort pool is much bigger, longer in length but the funny thing its facing eating and drinking venues. the drinking place looks cool and under the moonlight seems so romantic.... not a chance for us to sip anything there.... after the short walk around, we head back to the villa and sat infront of the google box... we watched a silly movie...laughed and got hungry!

thanks to ben who was on his way in, he got us dinner and thanks to my sis who sponsored it! rested awhile and packing away the things we brought in mostly for baby r. good thing was the car was parked infront of the villa. bro came in later and he brought everyone soya beancurd. we drove all the way home and baby r slept thru the ride.
