celebrating baby Rachel's 6 months old!

10th December afternoon... after brain storming for the last 2 days, only in the morning i suddenly tot of the place to go... we wanted to bring our little one somewhere to explore and also to take some shots! when i told daddy, he agreed straight away as he said he did think of it too... the rest were rejected as its either too far or she is too young to be there now... almost 3+-4pm... under the SUPER HOT WEATHER + SUPER SUNNY GLARE!, we got to Marina Barrage. i still told my hubby and sis "no need to bring umbrella! very auntie... how to take photo then!!!" hee... really very HOT! lucky they insisted!

the view was not bad on the ground level, but JUST too sunny to be without an umbrella! Saw a crew of men setting up the catarmaran and our little gal was so curious she kept turning to look at them. so to get a family pic, we got to squash little one in between as she can't stop looking everywhere! she is very curious about everything and her eyes were very busy looking at everything, everywhere and everyone! when we were walking towards the metal globe art structure, i saw our reflection and got sis to take a photo for us! turn out pretty artistic!

the garden which is on the top level is pretty interesting as we have to walk up a circular pavement to there. reminds me of MC Escher's work... cos it has that feel of wheres up? wheres down? when the IR is ready i think it would look pretty nice at nite cos IR will be lit up. it was really sunny! HOT! almost scorching hot! the wind was strong thou! so strong that it turned my sis' umbrella inside out and i almost got blown away with the umbrella! next time if i ever come here again... i will need a cap or a headband or tied my hair back!!! gosh my hair was blown in all directions! my hair even spread over to Rachel and she look like a mohock! the sky was great for photos! the pics of me and baby were taken with our HUGE umbrella sheltering us! while the ones i took of gx and baby was without!

GX: happy that our darling is 6 months old. She has been a tough cookie and she is going to take a lot of effort and love from us to bring her up well. She has been everyone's darling despite her misbehaving at times. We are so happy to have her and we all love her so much.

As much as I want to, I don't really get to spend a lot of time with our little darling. Most weekdays I will only get to see her maybe for an hour or less after work and during the wee hours of the morning when I prepare her milk for night feed. In the morning, I will be lucky that she wake up early to see me off to work, but I am contented that she is sleeping peacefully. As long as I do not have to travel, weekends are precious times with my wife and our little girl and I cherish these times.

Caring for our precious little one has almost fallen entirely on my dearest wife, who has sacrificed all her time to care for and nurture our girl. We are grateful for all the help from our parents and our sisters.

I thank my wife for a job well done and I love our family. Life is good and getting better, we are looking forward.

i did a little video with the photos we took with our little baby R!

didnt think of doing the video but as i viewed the pics as slideshow, i quickly do it up simply and i knew the song i wanted for this video! i love this video... i felt very strong and weak at the same time when i watched it over and over again... i used the song as i was inspired by the beautiful blue sky and the kites flying in the backdrop! for the 1st time, i really listened to the lyrics and i loved the song cos it described my feelings... how i felt thru the months of being a mum and the events and moments where i felt weak and grouchy... it really takes a miracle to keep me going... my baby and hubby... its been tough on gx as i have been throwing tantrums and making him mad! Many thanks to my sis who followed us and helped us take so many photos under the glaring sun and even thou her hair got messed up by the strong wind, she continued to take great pics for us! baby r was not liking it too much after she was under the sun for awhile! she dun like it too hot! so we took shelter and explore the other places in the building!

theres an exhibition hall to show the water treatment and the place was done up in a futuristic manner with lots of structures in different rooms! its all about water... but we just kept walking thru it and taking photos and of cos enjoy the cool air!

little R just loves exploring! not only her eyes were busy... hands too! love to see her curiuos look but when she can walk.... think it will be a cat and mouse chase! maybe she might not and stick us, questioning us non-stop with questions! WHY??? why? WhYYYyyyyy??? haha

theres a colourful "glass floor" where we appeared on the big screen but it was difficult to capture. think kids would love it here but at times its pretty dark and maybe baby R did feel uncomfortable as the place look so different to her... must have look like space!
towards the end of the path, the place got darker and it seems like there were stars all around. theres a machine that reminded us of holland. an interactive screen where you can take pics and email home but it was less exciting and fun as its just for taking pic and video. this was to pledge to do our part for the environment...my little gal was so sweet... when i was taking the pic, she was looking at the screen as we showed her she was on it with daddy... she reach her hand out to pull me! and she got happier when she saw all 3 of us on the screen!

just before our car moved off, gx spotted a very long kite! it was a rattle-snake in the sky! it was really long and at one moment the tail came down and it touched a car top! then off daddy drove us to sunset way to cool down further. we went to the ice-cream place and we each had 2 scoops of ice-cream, while sis brought little one for a walk at supermkt. then we got my favourite milli-cake, the cake that is formed with many layers of crepes and cream. no photos as we were all tired and needed to rest!

little one slept very little thru the day but she woke up easily from her naps.... and that made her a crouchy baby! easily she cried and then she stopped to take some pics and cried again... making her a 6th mths old little crying monster! she was loud when she cried and it hurt my head!!! but she do look cute and daddy too love her look when she try to control her cry! sis and us loved her outfit and when mum came home, saw her, smiled cos she looked so cute and blue!

did a special but not sure if we will get to use it as i am now running out of time!!! its been crazy but i really need to post as fast but somehow i can't and i feel so restless, no energy in me!!! hopefully i get to do it.... little r was not in the best form when i took the pics but lucky there was one shot that looked good.

i love this shot taken by daddy! my mil loves baby's side view! she always tell me little R's sideview looked very nice! i love her smile as it never fails to cheer me up and warm my heart! i felt bad that i had to keep reminding her to a stage that i had to use my loud voice to stop her wiggling so much in the car! but i firmly believes she needs discipline... when i saw this pic, i want to be happy... cos i love her smile.
