its been quite some time since our family went out for a meal. mum is always insisting that we eat home. i was glad my bro managed to get to Suntec to join us for lunch! besides the flower fest, there was a overseas uni exhibit. as we were gog on the escalator to the exhibit, sis was asking me whether our cousin TT might come by.... i wasnt sure. After many suggestions and we couldnt decide the lunch venue, mum chose kenny rogers as she said its been a long time since she had it. after a few skips and looking at the people behind us move into the restaurant before us, that made me impatient! but we were given good seats! a long table in a corner almost a private room!
as we started eating, my bro told us that he tot he saw our cousins k and tt. sis hit bingo with her guess! my mum looked quietly excited knowing that the sibling might be in the same building. i decided to message to tt to see if she knew about the exhibit. she replied she is in suntec for the exhibit and asked if i was around! mum's heart prob skipped! after a few sms, we were to meet up after she and her bro finish their lunch.... mum was so nervous and excited that she couldnt eat and offered gx almost half of her quarter chicken!
its been at least 5 years since mum last saw them. mum was very thrilled to see them. she chatted with them and we exchanged some family news. it was a good coincidence. without any plans, with a good place to sit and chat, the 2 exhibitions gave us a chance to meet up. fate.
