August 2nd Monday. Dap's bdae is not near at all but with my restricted timing, mondays are the only days i can sneak out with a peace of mind and for longer period of time. So we set August 2nd as the day we meet up. i planned bring dap to try Mont Blanc at Ann Siang but its close on Mondays... so sadly plans changed alitte.
we were suppose to go somewhere near chinatown for ramen and lucky they had another one at cuppage. we were the 1st customers! the place is small but most importantly the ramen was really nice! but the small dishes were not fantstic thou. next trip here i will stick to ramen with more meat!!! the ice-cream dessert that comes after the main meal was nice.
no mont blanc but we had other places to go to for dessert. There was a place i wanted to bring dap for my bdae celebration but we decided to drop by TWG back then.... so we made our 1st trip to 1 Caramel. We were the only customers in the whole cafe. wanted to order a platter of miniture desserts but we were disappointed with the service of the staff over the counter... and their platter rule, you can't choose what you want to try! so we switch to 2 slice of cakes. Rose lychee and hazelnut choc? i like the lychee rose or rose lychee cake alot! nice texture and flavour! choc cake was nice but really nowadays its hard to please myself with anything chocolate.... i want more exciting flavours

think they do make specialty cakes too. on display there was a topsy-turvy cake behind me, a 3-tiered singapore cake at the counter and beautiful wedding cakes in the showcase shelf. too bad for us, we were there at a wrong time cos there is a teatime promo but who knows paying more = quieter time for us. we love quiet time.
so glad dap love her bdae gift! and she is having fun with it!
