its comforting to know a fren is there when i need someone to talk to
talked to dap on the phone and she knows i am very stressed out and she kept a positive talk with me ensuring me everything would be fine. she had time off and we arranged to meet up for lunch and tea. i wanted so much to eat the oyster pancake and off we were in maxwell market but somehow when i ate it i felt it was overdone.... we queued for the ondehondeh and the best wasnt what i wanted to eat... sadly the standard dropped. the liquid did not burst when i sank my teeth into the green dough! the sugar wasnt nicely melted and the dough was too thick = so disappointing! turn out the other kuehs we got was much nicer... the only thing was we bought too much as its a long queue and everytime i hit maxwell on the weekends its never open... the other kuehs were so much better, soft and nice.
main motive coming to maxwell was to head to ann siang hill.... to try the recommended mont blanc i saw in the food mag. we had the mont blanc straight after the kueh-snack lunch! there were other cakes to try but we had ordered one to share as it was such a short interval. but we head to clake quay. i wanted to check out the frozen mousse cake selling in meidiya by patissier. we ended up sharing a bowl of ramen! saw the nice lantern decor across the bridge. thou its not alot on display but its still not too bad. saw the taiwan fest booth setting up, too bad we were a day early as they start selling only the next day!
