4. Salmon
This cold-water fish contains healthful fats known as omega-3s that can lower the risk of heart disease. These nutrients may also help improve mood and prevent memory loss.
5. Spinach
An excellent source of iron, calcium, and folic acid, along with vitamins A and C, spinach is great for growing bones and brains.
6. Sweet Potatoes
Packed with vitamins B, C, and E, plus calcium, potassium, and iron, sweet potatoes are also rich in complex carbohydrates and fiber, which keeps digestion moving along properly.
7. Yogurt
Rich in calcium and a good source of protein, yogurt helps build strong bones and teeth. It also aids in digestion and fights bad bacteria in the gut.
after reading the info, i decided to get baby r some. she tried her 1st yogurt when she was about 7 months old. then she fell sick and had stomach flu during CNY. So its the 1st time since then she had yogurt again. i was afraid that it may be sour as they either reduced the sugar level or sugar is omitted. True enough, its quite sour! so i opened up the organic cherry jam that i got a few weeks ago from a chinese medicine hall. its from Italy and i was hoping that they taste good and it was quite good. it was a good combination but too bad.... baby r's body rejected the yogurt after a few hours.... she threw up and my bet its the yogurt that caused it. so when she threw up before CNY.... yogurt was the cause! so i am not gog to continue to give this to her for now...
when we were at parkway, we stayed longer than expected and i didnt bring any milk for baby r.... she got alittle inpatient sitting down while i eat.... mum took her for a short walk in the supermarket.... she came back looking at the dishes and she complained! making alot of noise... i took her for a 2nd round in cold storage. chanced upon this cookie that was on offer. when i opened this up, i LOVE the smell of the cookies! this has alittle sugar in it. baby R and my little cousins, Let, Luc, Nat, Nico all loved it!
Steamed egg with fish and veg was her main dinner dish during weekends and she got more of this for the extended stay! she loves eggs! glad she love steam eggs like me! when she can take alittle more sugar.... i would make my favourite egg custard for her!
