Fondant Cupcakes Workshop

my second class with Sugar Inc on Sunday 16th August. Fondant cupcakes. learnt how to make mashmellow fondant from scratch! FUN! sticky to do but its less sweeter than the ready make? its still sweet but i find it acceptable. freshness is prob the pro of this fondant! had so much fun learning how to mould my first rose! the ribbons took me awhile to make it nice. i did the little baby booties, fat crocs-looking ballerina shoes and group of white rose buds, 3 days before the class. booties are esp for my little Rachel! i enjoyed myself alot in class! love playing with the fondant!

learnt light butter cake recipe with 2 other variation. almond and orange flavoured butter cake. soft but i still like my mum's buttery butter cake but this recipe is good for cupcakes, soft and fluffy!

i am thankful to the pretty teacher Philia who had so much patience and it was nice talking to her! hopefully i will get to attend class soon.... i still want to have fun! i need it... i need some time on my own to do what i want... do what i like... did styling for the cupcakes and i love it!

Introduction of toys - Rachel's new friends!

On Monday 10th after the party at Aunt K's house, came home and i started taking out her barang barangs to check for new fitting clothings and also pick out toys that are suitable for her age. On the 14th, after washing and sunning the toys from her little twin aunties, i assemble the "hanging mobile" for Rachel. yes this came with a mat but i didnt use it and wanted her to just try it out first.

i have 2 sets of this! one is very pretty Pooh bear set and the other is a wooly colourful sheep. Little Rach loves hitting the chain of colourful shapes! love the layered top aunt K got for Rach! when Sis came by to pick us up, i dress little Rach in a little demin skirt from Tommy H... so lucky, nope i didnt buy it, its passed on from her little aunts. by chance we match it with her blue pacifier we grab before leaving the house! Its to prevent her from having the air pressure in her ears from travelling down from 34th storey in the lift!

15th August Saturday, Gx was not working and he came from home. i stayed over at mum's alone on friday nite. told him to have a good rest as he had class after work and i tot he needed to work the next day but he took off to be with us as he was afraid Rach mit need to see doc. Can't remember what happen to her thou.... trying very hard to keep up with my posting! so we sent the twins off from mum's place. sis went with them to the airport. we met up later at tampines ikea.

Rach is always excited when we tell her we are bringing her out. we learn not to tell her too early as she will not nap at all and turn very grouchy by the time we head out! she was very good, lying down in her pram quietly and eventually she fell asleep. The Maclaren is very smooth on the turns and sis walked so fast with her in the pram! have to stop sis many times from gog tooooo fast! the toys across the pram was bought almost about 6-7 years ago when i was working in esprit. it was too cute to pass and i actually kept it for so long! Rach loves talking to her new "friends"! got the items i came for! happy me and i will do an update soon on the items i bot!

16th August Sunday. we woke up late and it was Rachel who woke both of us. she kept making lots of sounds and it got louder as each minute past! we took her for a walk but the sun was too glaring so it was a short sunday walk. daddy and bil wash their cars while i carried her in one arm and flipping interior mag and chatting with sis about house decor. then we set off to pick mum up from her massage session. i was naughty and asked Rach to carry her own bag. in it carries her bottle, bib and pacifier. She wasnt happy, got irritated and she burst out loud! i just went on to get my camera and snap a pic of her... she is so xiao jie!

introduced her the other toy i had from esprit year ago. she was fierce! she wrestle the teddy and when the teddy toppled on her, blocking her view and she can't move it away... she resort to crying.... em... she has been using CRY to prevent us from blurping her!

Rachel's GongGong Bdae!

12th August, my dad's bdae. He's 67! He's happiest this year as he stood at the door waiting patiently ... not for my arrival but his joy... my little Rachel, his precious grandaughter! Once our car can be spotted, i bet my dad was ready with open arms! Gx had to pick up the order i made ... 3 crabs and tofu sticks. crab beehoon soup, chilli crab with fried mantou and pepperish black pepper crab. my first crab feast after 9months + 2months! my dad loves crabs and so do i! my dad used to buy the live crabs and he would settle it while mum cooks it!

it was a hot day so mum took Rachel and the twins to the room to chill out while gx and i can tuck our fingers into the different crabs! with a baby, no longer can we both eat together and take our time to savour the food... thou mum is with Rachel, i jus have to take a peek at her... and i took shots of the 2 little aunties with Rachel!

little rach enjoyed being on the bed with the twins, kept active & didn't want to rest. 2 little kidos kept asking me to show them the photos! sis bot my dad's other favourite, Durians. twins loves durians!

my dad long awaited bdae celebration with his grandchild. dad's 67 this year. while waiting for daddy to come home earlier tha evening, i taught Rach the Bdae Song & told rachel she has to try to stay awake till the birthday song is sung.... and she did! once the song ended, 3mins later.... she was asleep!

Rachel's 2 months old!

Monday August 10th. Its a holiday for daddy as National Day fell on Sunday. so everyone was at home and we were all waiting for my fil to be home. Reason? Cos we want him to see her little grandaughter bath... haha . yup! cos my little one is most awake in water! she loves her shower time as she enjoys the moment i start playing with her. so glad we managed to buy a BIG tub! she loves swishing swoshing in the tub once i am done cleaning her! the video is not loaded yet, no time to read menu! suppose to be daddy's job but he asked me to check it out! we had a session where daddy record our little one playing, stretching herself in the tub (her favourite is to tiptoe and lengthen her body and hit her head against the other end of the tub... and there must be a tump sound! - no worries its not too hard!) grandpa couldn't stop smiling and be amazed with her little grandgal!

then i rushed off to PS. Nesa was suppose to join me but she fell sick and wasnt able to travel with me. i had to go daiso get her stuff and i ended up spending $40 in 30mins! and all she needed was 1 item and the rest was mine.... got the hand cream, flowers and cherries then got a pretty cake and got myself a discount card with pokka food. Love Rive cakes and i look forward to eat at jap restuarant Tonkichi? love the fried ebi .. but dun know when will that be.

popped by and asked aunt to be in the room 1st. after arranging the surprise in the little cute pail i got from Daiso, we made aunt K teared when she saw nesa with the gift..... Aunt K was thankful to have a thoughtful child. she scolded her earlier in the day when nesa got very secretive, confirming the items with me. I would tell her the choices and she decides. I almost teared.... i told nesa she has to teach my little Rachel to be as good as her, make me happy! Wonder what my little gal would be like at 9 years old!

then i head home and my little Rachel ignored me! she is such a little cutie! she was not happy that i left her and she can't hear me, see me, she threw tantrums when i was away! everytime i go down to central just to buy grocery, she gets upset too! even thou i showed her the things i bought for her, she will just ignore me! got call from aunt K, using just 1hour, she organised a last minute party fo herself! so we prep baby and walked over and enjoyed local delights... spicy! the cool thing is my mum oso got cherries! she oso got some yummy eggy tarts from tiong bahru where she had her haircut.

my mum was talking to her grandaughter telling her she has grown and must continue to be a good gal.... mil was told me that morning about the day i was in the op room. She said my mum looked so worried and kept pacing around the room and she kept wanting to head to the op room area. she didnt forget to ask how was i when she saw gx with little rachel.

Everyone liked the lychee cake nesa and i chose. everyone ask where its from and if i tied the ribbon on the cake! Nope this is the only cake that has a ribbon tied to it and i tot its nice to try something new and the colour of the ribbon matches everything nesa has chosen for her mum. Aunt K was so happy and touched. She is very lucky to have a good daughter.

Head home and i started packing the storeroom! i did a major cleanup. pulled out the baby boxes and went thru the items. Rachel is so lucky! she has 2 sets of playmat! took out some fitting-soon clothings for wash. have to start checking the box every 2weeks! dun want her to miss out any chance to wear the nice pretty clothings from her 2 little twin aunties!

Rachel enjoyed the party, she nows knows how to stay away from sleep and making sure we bring her out, she would spend some time looking around and then sleep but she wakes up quickly to avoid missing out the fun! she hardly slept thru the morning thus she slept thru the night!
