My bdae party on 18th April!

Friday 17th - went out to get my dill and parsley... and some other missing ingredients from jason's market. went there to try my luck to see if i can get the thing i have been looking for! then thats when i met the knitting lady on the train. but my luck at jason was good! i found what i wanted! LUCKY! i got what i wanted and head back to tpy. then rested then prep the kitchen for baking with nesa. went to get her and we started right away! after she finished her hw, she helped to lay the sponge fingers and help me layer my tiramisu!

after the tiramisu we continued with the oreo cheesecake... we had a problem... the blender we had didnt grind the oreo... so we had to use the roller pin to flaten each piece... we were so tired! then we got a bad scare when the electricity tripped! then after testing... it was caused by the oven... i was so tired to take the blow! nesa called my aunt to on the oven while i rest. then went to try the oven again. worked and the electricity didnt trip. this cheesecake was my first try and i met with many obstacles and it cracked on the top... sad! gx sent me to mums at 10+ to put all the ingredients there for the party first as he had to work half-day on Sat and i can't carry all the barang myself!

Saturday 18th - went to mum's place and got m to start grating the carrots. then i talked to bro, gf and sis about the peak. then back to cooking! i cooked the carbonara and had good reviews! i mastered the carbonara! thanks to my guinea pig gx who had to eat my 1st bland carbonara, he gave me pointers and i did it! the avocado dip was a winner! many liked the taste of this dip! i served dip with out the cover and many tot i did it... sadly its not my credit! but i was glad i chose the right dip! it was the last one left and i tot it must be good then... thats how i chose it!

i usually choose the lime flavoured taco chips. the tiny sausage i bot was not bad. i love this brand of sausage which i suddenly dun remember the brand... its not cheap thou... just that m over-cooked it alit. cherry tomatoes were seasoned with olive oil, pepper and seasalt. the carrots was a new recipe i try out. its a german recipe! the carrots are soaked in orange juice and dill with other seasoning. it was not bad but i prefered the other new salad i tried. its cucumber salad with parsley. this had very good review!

mum cooked the BIG prawns... these prawns are special bred... dun ask me the name... i dun remember... but they were very nice to bite into! aunt o bot a huge slice of tenderloin from swiss butchery for my party. expensive cut but i dun eat beef... she couldnt stay long as my cousin Ly was down with chickenpox... aunt K cooked the beef stew and gx loved it, he said it tasted very good and the beef so tender! aunt K cooked a pot of buttered rice with raisins to go with the stew. i got aunt K to help me do a potato dish. she did a beef and a chicken shepards pie. love it! very disappointed was the porkchop ... i got a jim beam bbq sauce to marinate but m overcooked the meat and it turned out so dry... didnt check on her and she didnt brush the extra sauce to soften the meat when she grilled it...

on friday, i popped into the video shop and got a few dvd to play (ignore the ah hong dvd! it was selling at $6 so i got that for mum... haha not sure if its good!) but non was chosen as everyone was busy watching the videoclips uncle k made of his hk disney trip. the twins looked so cute and they have grown taller! the way they spoke mandrin was so cute! love the accent!

nesa bugged me the whole time about opening the cheesecake for her to take alook! i got her to learn to be patient! i told her my plans changed... as there are cracks on the oreo cheesecake esp the bigger cake we made, i decided to serve this as dessert then keep the tiramisu as bdae cake. she was still excited and wanted to try the cheesecake we made!

when we serve the cheesecake, it looks good as we avoided the the cracks! heard my mum saying she like the cheesecake! i was over the moon! no one's comments meant more than my mum's esp praises! the oreo cookies were not grinded properly so some bigger pieces fell apart when we served... the little gal went home to tell her mum and my aunt k bot a blender as my bdae gift! my aunt said that its not only for grinding oreos! it also meant for me to grind baby's food, to make puree for the baby in months to come! haven't gone over to aunt K's house to pick up my present!

everyone was amazed when i brought out the strawberries i got to decorate my bdae cake! the 4 strawberries nesa and i hold were the biggest of them all! to serve the tiramisu, the top layer is only sieved when serving as the cocoa powder will be soaked wet and damp and the colour is not attractive as it will darken. to show how big the strawberries are, nesa picked out the smallest and the biggest to make a comparison! we decided to keep the decor simple! just the 4 biggest strawberries at each corner and my 5 candles in the middle of the dessert!

me, my mum and my baby... next year, my little one will be sitting on my lap when i blow my candles! my mum is gog to be grandma soon! i know she has been worried and praying for the day she get to carry her grandchildren for very long! mum gave me a good luck angbao for my bdae even thou i will be back to have dinner with her on my actual bdae!

i love this tee! when i got this tee last month, i kept to wear this tee for this party! i love it cos where the smile is ... thats where my baby is! glad my dear hubby is feeling much better from his "bad tummy episodes"! i love this shot of me and my big laughter! i like candid shots like these! thanks to my cousin A who caught that shot!

then i decided to take the camera from cousin A to take pics of everyone singing the bdae song for me! i love the shots of everyone with my cake! can't remember what i said to nesa or what she said to me! there is only one kido to blow the candles off with me as both L and Ly were not around...

thou i told them its a simple dinner, no need for presents, my relatives still got me gifts... cousin A and his gf and cousin B got me a nice grey bag! LOVE it and gx exclaimed no more bags for her! haha .... i love bags!!! woman will never have enough bags, shoes, accessories and clothes!!! cousin A and her bro W got me robinson vouchers! more shopping! prob for baby thou!

aunt Ka gave me a book and she told me hope that it will be useful and it sure is! the baby care book has information for each month of baby's life! love it! my aunt K who helped me cooked a storm and bot me a grinder! i am so thankful for thoughtful nesa! she prob dun want to help me manually hit oreos with rolling pin next time! its was really a chore!

uncle j insisted giving me an angbao even thou aunt K got me a present. aunt Ag gave me a nice pink top! she was worried if it would fit me but it did and even if i can't wear it now, i can wear it later after birth! the minniemouse bag was gift from nesa, she got this foldable bag from hk. very useful when i go shopping! good for hanging on the pram in future!

my present from my baby was the many kicks as she moved in me! i was glad she bear with me on friday and saturday! i was so busy thru the whole week, breaking up my shopping list into many days as i can't carry much nowadays! then standing so much on friday and saturday preparing the desserts and party food! she knew i was very tired when i got home. i head straight to bed! and she greeted me with her baby moves!

after resting awhile, i got gx to take 2 shots with me and baby! i really like this tee as the big smile indicates where my baby is ... after gx left the room, i took some pics just baby and me! slept very soundly as i was really very tired after the whole week of preparation!

Gracious??? MY GOODNESS!!!

friday 10am+ i got onto a train. no one gave up seats... used to it... seems like this is what people thinks... the bigger i am the more stable i should be... the 4th lady looked at me and then hesitated and didnt get up.... 3rd 20s lady took out her thick story book straight away... 2nd one was oredi sleeping... i stood infront of this woman in yellow and she was dead asleep when i look at her. she didnt move at all... very DEAD! i am pretty used to people who dropped dead immediately they see my baby belly. but for this lady... i am amazed thus i decided to write mayb for one last time complaining how "gracious" some people can be... i moved away after i noticed her 2 sharp knitting needles with black yarn, poking out from her bag which is not zipped up... i moved to the other door as i would be getting out at cityhall...

at the same time when i tried to moved over to a safe spot where i can lean against the panel, a youngster just stepped in leaving me to turn around to hold the handle in the middle of the train... i was still keeping cool... at the start of pregnancy with all the hormones going all over the place, i find it hard to swallow and prob then i was very careful as i was more afraid... now i try to smile and just say how ugly people can get... told gx mayb i look too strong for people to give up seats to. but many times i see frail preggies standing infront of many dead people. even if they are getting off the next stop they dun give up their seats... they need to make sure they get a seat as they paid for their ride...

then standing in the middle of the train, suddenly my eyes was back on the yellow lady sitting at the corner seat. WOW... within the minutes i moved about, moving away from her, she was knitting! SHE IS ALIVE! very much alive knitting fast and furiuos. should i apologise to her that i wasted her time? should i have moved infront of her again to see her drop dead??? see the poor old man standing next to her??? he came in from the same station as me... everytime i imagine what if the old, the pregs, the children falls, can the passengers in the cabin near the accident be sued???

i wanted to blur her face but when i applied photoshop somehow the tool selected was darkening her face.... so i left it as it is... on my way back after finish running my errands... i took the train and this uncle cut me when entering, he just dash into the door when opened and almost bump into me and got a seat. i looked at him hard... he is not frail. he is not that old and dam it i got bags with me! his actions were super ugly! then the old man next to him looked at him... shame on him! the lady sitting opps this uncle stood up and gave me her seat. i thanked her! she is prob a msian. the lady next to me was sleeping.... i look at the uncle in disgust. ergh! he looked back at me with no shame!

just 2 weeks ago, after clarins class, i was carrying the big paper bag and dinner, got into the crowded train, and i stood infront of the 2 seaters for people in need of seats... 2 chatty frens immediately fell dead. i was still adjusting myself with my bags to make sure i get a good standing position when i noticed the silence. wow the bigger sized lady sure get award... she looked as thou she had a long dream while sleeping on the train... twisiting her head slowly and getting comfortable in her position... then i peek at her fren next to her.... i know her... she is my SI classmate. she prob didnt even look at my face... she must have saw my baby and dropped straight away. then after 2 stations passed, they both opened up their eyes and chatted alittle very softly and went back to sleep... i pretend to look at the door... and got off the next stop.

when i shopped on tuesday at novena getting my party supplies, i met a nice man on the train. he was standing but he turned to look for seat for me and i told him i got only one stop. he told me i shouldnt carry so many bags and esp if they are heavy. i told him i didnt plan to buy so much! he said he was on his way back home to bring his wife to tmc to give birth. he asked if i am having a girl and he told me his wife is having a girl and his 1st was a boy. after the nice conversation and congratulating him, we both got off at tpy. then on wed at gynae, i tot of him and his wife. then i told gx wondering if we will get to bump into them since we are in the same building! then when we got on the bus, i stood next to a guy with flower and gift basket. i turned and looked at him, told gx he's the guy i met on the train! i said hi and he said hi to both of us. then he was so excited to share his yesterday's experience esp with gx!

i think we should learn from Taiwanese when it comes to taking the train. they never rush into trains like us. they never block the doors, they really stand behind the line, allowing the people in the train to exit first then they proceed in... on the escalators, they are always on one side to allow people who are in a hurry to walk up on one side... they do keep seats or give up seats to needy. when will we ever be this graciuos? ever? never?

i Scared, i Shopped and i Snored !!!

What a Wednesday! 15th April - after my little baby managed to convince his dad to go to a&e, we head over to the Peak's showroom to see if we could get a pricelist. gx dropped me off before parking his car. i walked up the flight of stairs and got a sticker that says 127 0r 137... i asked a few questions and i was told i would need to be back in 2hrs time! they allow only 50 pax in at a time! no brochure, no pricelist unless u go in! so i stormed off and have breakfast with gx and mil at lor 1 market. then i head down with gx to novena mrt. gx went to TTS himeself, he didnt allow me to go hospital. i head over to united sq to walk... it was raining heavily and i walked around aimlessly with a heavy heart. I SCARED if gx call to tell me any bad news... but i tried to keep positive thinking. called the gynae for appointment and i was told to call back at 12pm... so i walked cold storage, the only few shops that were opened.

disappointed, couldnt find what i wanted at CS. its out of stock... then i head up to popular to stroll. glad i did as i found some cool stuff that i can use for a project that i have on hand. went into toys'rus to walk about and went into another educational toystore. can't imagine bringing my little one into these shops in maybe 2 years time! always find children go crazy in toystore! till the time comes... then i went into baby and mum shop and found a nice milk power divider that i was looking for. glad i didnt buy this much earlier as those look plain and white! my col gave me a good idea which is, if i am bottle-feeding, for mn feed, its good to measure out in these container and then just pour into the bottle when needed. cos sleepy and blur, it makes making milk easier at nite. if i dun need it then i can use it to contain little treats for the little one in future! raisin in one compartment, cereal and whatever treats in the other 2 compartments!

i bought a bath mat to place in the big bath tub gx and i bought 1 week ago. this tub shapes like an adult bath and i love that its big cos i dun wan to keep changing the tub when baby grows out of it when she turn 6mths! so I SHOPPED! i didnt stopped! walked into baby fox and saw a kimono-style romper set that is so sweet. little purple hearts on the top with purple leggings! then with my purchase i can grab a pc for $5. so i fell in love with this pink cute bottom so i bot it! then i bot 2 headbands for $5 for myself...

i was tired after standing for so long! so i head to bakersinn. got myself a hazelnut streamer and after a long decision-making, i got my baby and i an apple tart. love it! the apple tarts was $9.80 but i love that it was not small. then i love the cripsy pastry and warm apples. the ice-cream was a nice touch to the tart. then gx called to inform that he was given loads of med for CONSTIPATION! apparently the gastric was fixed but not constipation problem. so he told me he was heading over to meet me. i was so glad nothing big to worry about! as i was waiting for him i popped in esprit... then i saw this pc of swimwear... i was ambitious and bcos i like it ... i just bot it and hope that i can fit in after birth! i want this as a bdae gift to myself and also i want to be able to go swim with my baby! motivation to slim down after birth??? whatever as i got a good deal for this! top was $39.90 but i paid $29.90 and for the bottom i had a 50% off and paid $14.95. jus hope that i can fit into it then!

then after gx had his lunch, we head to my gynae appointment. glad i was there early as my gynae had 2 emergency caserian! i was down with yeast infection so i was told no carbo again! baby is growing too well!!! she is now at 32nd week but she is at 34th week size! well, no work thus we both grew i guess! when i was taking my weight, joked with the nurse about my jackpot payout cos the numbers turn out to be 777! 77.7kg! well... little one has turn and she was wiggling, legs kicking and hands moving! i was very thrilled to see her but gx was very blur about the scan! he couldnt figure out what he was looking at. but gynae was pretty fast about the scan as he was in a hurry to see his 2 patients waiting in the delivery ward, so no time to explain to gx. now appointments are gog to regular 2weeks to keep track with baby's development. by weekend its gog to be 7weeks left!

thursday 16th - gx had another day rest at home to make sure he feels better... the whole nite, he got up at least 3times to go to the loo. for the whole 1and half weeks, i wake up everytime he got up and i check on him everytime he gets back into bed. i was surprise his alarm rang early the next day. he prep to go to the showroom early. i wanted to head there myself but didnt know he had the same plans as me. so we walked to the showroom reaching at 8.10am, we got our stickers and we were no.1! then as we walked down the stairs, i noticed the stickers left from the day before with the no. 1200+ . so many had came to view on the day before! after breakfast we head into the showroom and after viewing, we fill in the forms to apply for balloting... wonder whats our chances... after we got lunch and grocery for the party, gx slept from 1+ till 4+pm! while i clean up the kitchen! i try not to sleep while he naps. i am glad he felt better and i was very tired by 9pm. gx was nice to give me a back rub and massage on my limbs! i felt so comfortable that i fell asleep!

Friday 17th, this morning as i had breakfast with gx, he told me i was in deep sleep last nite... he said i was snoring away! I SNORED! then i told him its his fault! cos at the start when he felt uncomfortable, i was so worried i cry to sleep then everytime he got up i was awaken! when i saw he got better yesterday, i felt more relaxed and of cos with the massage, i knocked off! glad he got better and he's back at work. i hope everything works out for him! i need to head out to do alittle more shopping for my party food! gog to make dessert and my own bdae cake!

31st - mid of 32nd week

31st week was an easy week cos i worked for 2 days, handling over my job to the sub. had a great farewell party as it was appreciation day on my last day. but at the same time, gx fell ill since monday nite. he had terrible tummyaches. thou his diarrhea stopped but the pain last till thursday when i got him to see another doc and he was not down with diarrhea but constipation and gastric. with medication he felt better and we went on with fil bdae celebration at The Line. the next day he was feeling awful again. then on sunday morning we head back to doc K and he was given another batch of stronger dose of med for gastric.

Sunday 12th - went back to mum after seeing doc k. the whole family went to pray at mandai for qingming and as i am pregnant they told me not to go. after lunch, sis, cousin a and i taught the gals to play 5stones. i got these 5 stones about 2-3 weeks ago when i went to alter my pants. when i saw the seamtress selling them i got 5 sets of stones. the little ones had no patience to learn but when they saw us competiting, they got interested and wanted to learn to be able to play with us. head home after meeting up with sandra for our insurance policy. gx rested as he was in pain while i just couch and watch tv. he watched devil wears prada with me and after fetching his parents, we had an early nite.

Monday 13th - my little baby is very cute! she remembered that i told her i wanted to make breakfast for daddy and she kept poking me on my left side to get me up. the left leads to the door. call me crazy but it went on for 3days! when i ask he to sayang daddy, she moves on my right where gx is next to me. crazy? whatever but we are very happy when she response to us! my baby is also very timely if she dun get lunch and dinner on time! after sending gx at the door, i prep and went to pray at simalu and head to sunshine plaza to get my favourite wantan mee for lunch. my in-laws like the noodles here and i oso pack custard buns from victors for sil who is on mc at home with rashes. gx was still recovering... after mn, he woke up 3 times heading to the loo... made me very worried and he is very stubborn about gog to a&e.

Tuesday 14th - after getting up to have breakfast with gx, baby and i head to novena sq. i was disappointed when i couldnt get what i came for... but i found something else that interest me and got myslef more than i can carry! as i promise my little baby fresh yougurt, we had to wait till 11,30am for the stall to open, so we had kfc for lunch then we packed home a peachie yami yougurt and a rambutan flavoured yogurt. my best find for the day is the return of my favourite hazelnut filling biscuit Tronky! it was low in stock on the shelf and i can't help grabbing 2 boxes! love these!

on the train i met a nice man who look for seat for me and i told him i got only one stop. he told me i shouldnt carry so many bags and esp if they are heavy. i told him i didnt plan to buy so much! he said he was on his way back home to bring his wife to tmc to give birth. he asked if i am having a girl and he told me his wife is having a girl and his 1st was a boy. after the nice conversation and congratulating him, i rushed home with my heavy loot!

my tummy was feeling so tight! after having the peachie yogurt, i rested on the couch and sat up for my 2nd cup of yogurt and back to couch. i was on the couch laying down since 1pm-4pm+! then i showered and prep for my last gynae class. i went to have dinner first and when i was about to leave, gx arrived and it was his turn to eat dinner. i went for class 1st. when he came in, i could see he is still having pain... he dozed off during class! he is very tired... the class was all about feeding the baby. i was alittle sad that our class has ended. next tuesday would be a talk by a doc at SCGS.

got home and read my little baby a story and since sunday, i have been singing to her before sleep. she love the twinkle, twinkle little stars as she moves alot when i sing that song. then after i say goodnite to her, stay completely still... she starts to move alot. everytime i nap in the afternoon, i am always awaken by her "BIG" movement. she oso moves when in the dark, she is somehow very shy or i would call her cheeky as she doesnt allow me to see her big movements! its amazing feeling to feel her move inside me. i havent got to know if its her legs or hands popping out cos she is very fast about stopping when she realise i am awake or when i response to her.

Wednesday 15th - right now, i am waiting for gx's call. this morning when he woke up, he still feel bloated and uncomfortable and has decided to go to a&e to check up. but right now he is back at the office to do some handover 1st. i have to go to the gynae today... anyways gx doesnt allow me to follow him to the hospital... i pray that they can solve his pain and that no big issue arises... i am dam worried. got to thank my little one in getting him for the checkup as she responsed to my request. told her to tell daddy to go check up and she pushed several times so hard to hit gx's hand. i just hope that the results are not gog to be anything seriuos... worried....
