7months = 28th weeks!

entering our 28th week and our baby is 7months old in my baby belly! after the scare last week, i was alittle more careful with eating carbo. gx was really strict on my no-carbo diet order from my gynae! Monday as usual back at school, feeling tired after school. head home and slept till 8+ and woke up to have dinner at home. then slept at about mn.
*
Tuesday 17th March. after school head home, had a quick shower and waited for gx to come home. we went to AMK hub to have our first prenantal class! we were armed with notebooks, he had one and i brought the disney diary sis got for me from hk. he bot both videocam and camera. but the class went on from one topic to the next so fast that we didnt have time to take notes, we had to listen attentively and follow the instructions when the experience speaker guided us in the stretching exercises. she also tot the fathers how to massage the preggy mummies' hands and legs! she gave a good long talk and we learnt quite alot from the exteneded session. instead of ending at 9 we gained another half an hour! got home at almost 10pm and i quickly flip the books to see if i can find notes on the topics covered and i was glad i bot the book publised by the speaker and a doctor! without having the need to crack my brains to recall what i have learnt, i slept! been feeling very tired just like at the start of my pregnancy.
*
Wednesday 18th, went to get present for my fren V's bdae party. i got her a dessert recipe book and i liked it too, so i got 2 books! went home and slept. i was very tired! exhausted from walking alot! got our baby a chinese storybook for our baby requested by gx. he read the book to our baby at nite and he praticed the massage he learnt from our 1st class. well, after much coaxing (cos he was tired too), gx did a great job and i love the simple massage!

Thursday 19th - a day that i ate too much! in school, i was eating small meals. but right after school, head over to V's place to celebrate her bdae and i ate so full!!! when we got there, the host was still in school waiting for her son to finish school. so L, I and myself got comfortable and i spent my time reading hollywood gossip magazine on her 3 seater. when they got home, i started munching on chips to survive my hunger. while the table is set with laska, sambal chilli eggs, chicken wings, satay and popiah, i popped my head into the busy kitchen and was glad that i did!

cos i got to learn a new dessert! B ever gave me a spring roll that is sweet and i loved it! B was helping V made these for dessert! i was asked to leave the kitchen as they were afraid to bump into me but i insisted on learning and helping out! so i learnt a new dessert Turons and have already planned to make these on Saturday for Uncle J's bdae! they were so yummy esp when its served warm, still hot!

the ladies had a huge discussion about the sex of my baby. some thinks i am having a boy cos the shape of tummy if of a boy. according to them cos i have pigmentation under my arm, i am having a boy. if the line from my belly button to my tummy is straight, i should be having a boy... em... but i told them doctor says its a GIRL... then they wanted me try to carry D's baby gal. if she repels from me, i am having a gal and if she lets me carry her, i am having a boy... even before i could touch her... she twit her little lips and eyes got alit wet as D tried to pass her to me... so its a gal. at this moment, someone shouted its a GAY! in my heart that was a sharp pierce. i know its a joke but its not funny to my ears. it was rude. but i just brush it off by saying choi, choi, choi... after the full meal, i left early at 6pm as i gota to go home to meet dap.

i took a cab out to upper bukit timah road and stopped at Karu's the Indian Banana Leaf Restuarant to pack dinner for dap and me. she was coming over to my house to pass me gifts from HK! ate here before with the group of ladies for J's bdae and i love the food here. i bot Veg Briyani was a huge packet that came with Appalam. but i got 2 extra packets of appalam cos i love these indian crackers! the veg briyani came with soft cabbage and chilli coated longbeans. i ordered fried chicken as dap preferred that, i got Sotong which i love cos they were so soft and easy to chew, got a huge prawn that cos the most on the receipt $6.50, i love the chilli that coats the prawns. got a small fish cutlet and a vadai which we only took a bite each...

dinner was completed with Mango Lassi drink that my fren, Ir, swears its the best! it was really good! we both love it and i wished i ordered one more to share with dap! but glad i didnt do that cos half -way thru the dinner with dap, i left her to finish up most of the dishes! i was so FILLED! my tummy was so hard and i couldnt really feel baby! think i went over the quota for carbo and sugar in just 5 hours!

since Ir is a foodie and when she says its the best lassi, i stick to that so as not to get disappointed if i try others, when will get to drink that again! its so far away from where i stay! then my dear fren gave me my goodie bag from HK! she got this cute pinky blush brush from Macau! its gold pink and i bet there's sparkles! then she got luxurious chocolate from Agnes B! yes the 2 packets are chocolate and they are under agnes b delices.

the lighter coloured choc is Cheese Milk Chocolate bar, while the other is Rocky Road Dark Chocolate bar. can't bear to try it cos its so pretty! both bar of chocolate had the agnes b motifs on it. but as i am typing this now, i think i have to try it to give it my verdict. the dark choc is richly dark and rich in flavour. as its rocky road, there are bits of mashmellow and nuts but i find that the bits are too tiny to be able to taste or bite into but with just one pc will fill your needs for dark choc. as for the cheese, again the bits are too tiny but this gave the milk choc alittle salty taste and the crunch of the bits make this my prefered bar between the both. i like the milky taste and the bits!

she got me this lovely train bag. i see myself using this cute bag with my little baby! THANK YOU DAP! she is always so sweet to get me little presents when she's away! esp when i can't travel and for dun know for how long! Dap, thank you for your gifts that brightens my day!
Friday 20th, its the last day of school before the spring breaks starts. i treat the kidos in my class popcorn as a reward. after school ended, head to Seng Xiong, with ann to get the bananas for the dessert. we didnt know which to buy and we bot 2 types to try. then i lugged the bags home and rested on the sofa. forced myself to sleep as i planned to go out with gx. we wanted to do a late niteout, cos since my hols started, i can afford to stay up and he wasnt working the next day. i have been in bed early everyday!
but when he was back from work after resting, we started preparing to go out and we argued cos i won't give in after he reprimanded me. so the niteout was cancelled. i was hungry as i kept my stomach for the niteout! threw a tantrum at mn as i was HUNGRY and he went to buy me Mcdonalds. had nuggets and he gave in and let me have some fries... a few scoops of the sundae. then we settled in bed to watch Curious case of benjamin but the dvd his collegue lent him... failed to work! so i read a book while he played games.

27th weekend

on Sat, i really couldnt stand the heat and the mess on the back of my head, i wanted a short crop to tidy up my looks. nothing changed for the front, just alittle more layered but for the back, it was much shorter! after the haircut at Gap at serangoon gardens, i ate laksa before shopping at the tiny cold storage. rushed to mum's place when i saw the dark grey clouds! got to mum's in time before it poured and i got a bowl of dousuan made by mum to warm me up on a rainy day. gave mum the funny jap orange and she exclaimed sure expensive and only i will buy such weird things! sadly, the orange didnt live up to its sweetness but it was full of juice.

got to talk to uncle K to see how is aunt M and the twins. aunt M got me a bag of baby stuff from shanghai. 2 cute little blanky, a rattle booties and 2 pairs of girly socks! lucky baby! then when we got home, my sil came back from HK and bot baby a set of minnie pink clothe hat, mittens and booties!

sunday afternoon, gx and i head to cityhall by train. after gx checked the live traffic report on net, he gave up the idea of driving down. the roads were oredi jammed up as its last day for IT fair at suntec. he was there to use my spa voucher given by Mr P. i wanted Gx to have it as he has been working very hard and after 2 consecutive soccer games on fri and sat, he took a sport massage. while he is relaxing, i ate by myself at DTF, signed the bill to his card. then i got a few more discounted items at robinson for baby.

gx had a very muscle-relaxing massage while i got impatience as his massage went on for so long. he enjoyed the massage and got to shower before leaving to meet me. we head into MPH to look for a chinese naming book and i got myself another new recipe book! we went home, watched CH5 movies and ended our 27th week of our baby journey. now we are into the 28th weeks!

Week 27th - scared, excited, busy, tired!

Monday was as usual, tired on the 1st day of the week, drag myself to work. sil flew HK for 1 week's work. came home and rested till we went out for dinner and ate our favourite monday meal. it had been weeks since we ate kuey chap at tpy lor8 coffeeshop. slepty early as i was tired.
*
On tuesday 10th march, met Cousin A after work and we head to sembawang shopping ctr. its newly renovated and i wanted to check out the esprit outlet and daiso. managed to get 2 tops from esprit but the outlet wasnt as big and some items are not very cheap after discount.

then we head to try out the desserts at MOF. Ministry of Food serves jap desserts. please dun try the savoury dishes. i suspect they use the microwave to heat up the rice and curry and it was hardly warm at all! the rice was so hard!!! terrible! the dessert was not bad. (pics taken with hp = blur!)

then we head to daiso and i love it here! not as crowded here compared to other daiso. got 10 items that day - a spagetti container and a container that cooks the spag using mircrowave. kidos food picks, washing net, clothes peg hanger, saw alot of ice-packs here and i bot 2 packs to standby cos now uncle K sometimes need to use it to bring cod fish to shanghai. got a new waterbottle and gx's favourite caramel corn. there is bus-service provided to khatib and yishun mrt station. went home and i felt very uncomfortable. my baby belly had pulls and no matter how i turn i felt tight and to the extend some pain. worse i felt very little movement from my little one. i went to bed to rest and pray that everything was fine.

*
Wed 11th March, i worried the whole morning as my tummy still felt tight and i tot i was suffering from constipation, which was common in pregnancy but i didnt feel baby moved much and that make me so scared. called the nurse and they suggest that i leave work and down to see gynae immediately... with so many mc track record, i told the nurse i will observe for another hour to see if i can feel baby move before gog down. lucky i did feel her but it was very faint and i just tahan till end of school day, told my tcher and i left 15mins earlier.
-
Sat at the clinic and i was very worried and i even text gx that if i need to go into labour ward to save the child, he should go home to get the delivery bag 1st which has only half the list of things packed thou! he was in an important meeting and can't be with me but he called me once he could and told me not to worry and make jokes to cheer me up and to make me relax. saw my gynae and after telling him how i felt ... gana scolded! he asked if i ate too much carbo... em... i have been having alot of bread for meals and of cos sweets! but i did eat more dessert during the 2 weeks... the excessive carbo creates too much fluid, thus my tummy feels extremely tight! so he gave me medication and also an order to stay lying down more! he told me that sitting is not resting. i must lie down to rest! EVERYDAY AT LEAST 9HOURS! soon i told him i would be able to do that! cos i will be taking no-pay leave from 2nd week of april. he gave me 2 days of mc but i decided to go to work.
i didn't listen to his advice immediately as i already planned to check out burberry warehouse sale at suntec since tues nite. also i really needed to go to cityhall to buy my tcher's bdae gift. got her a $60 pen. then i spotted robinson sale. managed to get NukNuk milkbottles at 20% and with rbs card 5% rebate! happy with my buy! i got the buddlepack which came with a bathing sponge, a pacifier that i just want to stand by, still not very keen in introducing it to my baby. it also came with a pacifier clip. as recommended by V, i got NukNuk's bottle brush. then not sure it it was useful but i go a bath thermomter, it indicates the safe temperature of the water for baby to bath in.

then i head over to suntec, as many people walked FAST past me... they could be at a normal pace, i felt i was crawling among the crowd. made it to suntec finally and seeing many were heading the same direction as me... there seems to have many exhibitions and events gog on, some were preparing to open the next day, mostly IT fair. when i reached the burberry sale... unbelivable, we gota q to put our bags into plastic bags and they will cable-tie the bag up! i had my fully-packed agnes b demin bag and a robinson shopping bag! they just stuff into a bag and i had to carry that heavy load in my hand and hold my wallet and hp with the other hand! i sweared! it was so heavy and how to shop!!! pissed but since i got in, i went to shop with alot of difficulty.
walked around and i was disappointed with the items and after discount it was still ex! then i walked on to spot a wagon of 70% items and these were nicer than those on 50%. after trying 4 tops, i only got 1 pc that fit me and i like it. $250 and after 70% less i paid $75. i have been a burberry fan but never got myself many items, more for gx. then i went on to the baby's wagon. managed to to get 2 sets of giftsets.

these cost $310 and after 70% it was $93! em... yah more ex than my top and for my top i will get to wear it for endless times... not for babies cos after a few wear they grow very fast and won't be able to wear it again but i like it and i just went ahead to get it... a thin polo material, i suddenly dun know this type of baby top is called... rompers? and it came with a baby burberry hat! so i got a set in pink and a set in brown. gx joined me for dinner at viet restaurant phohoa and we head home and after medication i checked the internet for more information on Amniotic fluid and protein food before i slept!
Thursday 12th march, with the orders of no carb, i can't snack on biscuits anymore! lucky for me i got 2 tubs of chilli-fried fish which i almost finish one at home and i brought the other to school. got these near school and i love it cos its not too hot and it has this sweetness to the cripsy fish! after school, i went to woodlands with ann to eat dinner. poor her, she had to go back to school for students' nite rehersal. it was tough choice as i was not to eat carbo, there are not many stalls i can choose from. so i ate ampang yongtaufu... without rice or noodles. then i went on to look for my new hotwater bottle to warm my aching back. went to get my tcher a cake for her bdae celebration with the kids and head home to rest. for the first time, i felt my baby moved so much! she pratically seems to be turning non-stop in my baby belly! but i was so tired that i fell asleep on the sofa. i was glad she is moving!

Friday 13th -surprise my tcher with the cake and gave her the pen i got. i got the pen for her as she travels alot and i tot it will be useful. hope she likes it. what i was most looking forward to was to meet my dear fren tabby finally! chose to meet at isetan supermarket as dap informed me about Jap fair. right after we hugged, as both of us are starving, we started browsing around to buy something to munch! we got jap fishcake to share! we each got a spicy cod roe fishcake and shared the seaweed fishcake which was really nice!
we head to sun with moon and i ordered a kyoho grape yogurt drink. it had bits of grape jello and i like it. em... yes its sweet... we ordered mini tori teriyaki set. we gota wait for the sand-timer before opening up to eat our teriyaki chicken rice. the salmon balls was a cold-dish and it was hard... lucky we asked ofr extra teriyaki sauce.
we talked for ages and we ordered a platter of ice-cream filled puffs to share. i liked the strawberry ice-cream least! i like the macha and black sesame ice-cream puff best! we chatted non-stopped even when we were walking to the mrt station. got myself 2 bags of cherries. one for gx family and one for my mum. these were better than the ones at cold storage!
got a very lovely cupcake puffy sticker at borders, just have to have it! its so pretty! at the jap fair, i got this lovely fruit recipes chart. love the nice, cute colour pencil illustrations that was next to the text! the only thing i bought from the fair was a pack of 2 oranges! i got to try a tiny bit of this orange and there were 2 other type of oranges but i fell in love with this odd-shaped orange!
Deconpon Kumamoto is the Jap name for this odd-shaped but very sweet orange! i picked this pack and asked the nice jap lady if the pack i chose was a good choice! she said the longer the the top of the orange is the sweeter! Tabby oso got herself a packet! yes i know $9.90 is ex for 2 oranges but i love the shape cos it resembles a hu'lu and seems a very good and symbolic gift. i gave my mil one and she said it looks like a hu'lu! gog to give the other one to my mum.

my little one loves cherries! when i ate a bunch of cherries, she got excited and moved alot! so i decided to take a pic of baby with the cherry! well, March has been a fruity month so far! the jap fair ends next week... i think i should stay away from isetan and ck tang supermkt... been spending too much on these ntaural sweets! but they are sure better than artificial sweets! with no-pay in april, i seem to just go ahead and buy whatever i want now!

good things found in March

these are the apples that i fell in love with! they were found in ntuc and i love it cos when i walked past these apples, they have a very nice scent which is what draws me to try them. also i love the dark red on these apples and best thing is it taste somehow the APPLE taste i have been looking for. yes i mean it. these apples have APPLE taste. i somehow gave up eating fruits in singapore cos most fruits dun have the right taste... this was my 3rd tray of apples and was pretty sad that i didnt get to see them recently after i got my 3rd tray. i hope that they continue to bring in these nice organic apples from the US.
the other fruit i fell in love with are the dark cherries that cost a bomb! $14 for 500g. these are really good and sweet! i bot my first batch from ck tangs and i managed to get my 2nd at cold storage on offer but it wasn't as good as the 1st batch! think my baby likes the cherries too! she moves almost everytime when i am done eating cherries!
bot this bottle of chestnut spread from the french fair at isetan when i met up with dap. its a very difficult bottle to open!!! i troubled both the men in the house to get this opened! it maybe very sweet for some, so layer only a thin layer on bread to try first. personally i like the taste but its really alittle sweet. but its good stuff!
i love daiso at sembawang shopping centre! the one at PS and IMM is always so crowded regardless which day and what time it was! but at SSC, at 5+pm, i could slowly browse thru the shelves and this place seems bigger than PS. some useful or special items i got was a spagetti container and a container that cooks the spag using mircrowave. yet to use it but hopefully its useful! then it will make cooking spag faster! when i test this out, i will give my verdict.
remembering what emily suggested, i got a small netted washing bag for baby's mittens, booties and small items. i think that was a great suggestion! and i got a little clothes peg hanger for drying the washed mittens and socks! the other buy was sort of too early and unneccesary! but its something i couldn't let go! nice food picks for kiddos! i will prob use them for my cousins prob for my bdae!

personally i really think japanese are so innovative when it comes to food! they make these picks to brighten their children's day! it prob coax children to try the food and really making it interesting for the kids. i like the concept where by the children bring food from home but its very time consuming. more good things to come!
